The Novoflex 8 x 12", Extra Large Flexible Zebra Check Card The grey side serves as reference area for exposure metering while the white side enables correct white balance that is so important in digital photography.
The camera takes a light reading of either side of the check card to perform an exposure measurement or white balance and, in a few seconds, the camera is set optimally for the prevailing light conditions to guarantee perfect shots.

This was the largest card Novoflex offered; would've bought a larger one if possible. A quick and dirty test with a spectrometer shows it is pretty neutral. Best attribute by far is that it is completely waterproof. Want to color balance the lighting in a fish tank? Drop that sucker in with no worries.
