I was highly disappointed with this device. I bought this after reading quite a few encouraging reviews and figured I'd give it a try.
My specific purpose for purchasing a USB radio was twofold. 1: I wanted to be able to listen to some very low volume tunes during my regular work day, since my company's web filter blocks any kind of streaming content. And 2: I wanted to be able to listen to AM based MLB broadcasts during the course of the seasons day games (specifically the SF Giants).
I tried the radio out at home after I received it and immediately was not impressed with it ability to receive either AM or FM stations. And that is with having the radio near a window on my computer desk at home. I was able to pull in several nearby FM stations that I frequently listen to, but no AM stations at all. This did not bode well for taking it to my work place, which is a steel framed windowless building. And I was right, I get absolutely no stations at all (AM or FM) when I bring it into my work place. I tried positioning the radio high above my desk (as far away as the USB extender cable allows). I also tried the antenna extender that comes with the radio, all to no avail. I was finally able to pull in some FM lower-band Christian station that I have no desire to listen to, but that's pretty much it. I will be returning this device.

I am using this product on a mac mini being used as a media server.
Pros: This product picks up radio signal clearer than my traditional stereo. It can be operated to pick up all frequencies in the FM band (not just odd frequencies) and it can be set up to increments in 9 or 10 Khz on AM. Pause and record functions are easy to use.
Cons: Presets are not easily accessible without going to the menu bar.

I bought the Radio Shark 2 for recording FM. Firstly, I thought this divice for only MAC. but package says "Win and Mac". so i installed Win/Vista. but It could not listen any channels...
I tried to uninstall and install Drivers a few times and tried to update from Griffin. but still could not listen it...

I gave up use this divice by Win/Vista.

Finally, I installed it MACOSX, and It works!!!

I recommend this divice for using MACOSX!!!!

It functions as promised. It picks up your local stations and you can schedule recordings.

What is really special is how great it looks. It has the quality industrial design worthy of Apple. I want it prominently on my desk. The three blue lights reminiscent of the three gills slits (?) on a shark turn red when recording. It's beautiful and it works. What else can one ask for?
