I purchased this camera as a back-up to my regular camera for when I'm out of the country. So far it has met my expectations. It has some neat little features that I've yet to fully explore. I will say that the large display is perfect for handing around to show off the pictures you've taken with it. The door that covers the USB port however is very poorly designed. I'm always afraid I will tear the rubber hinges off. You are better off ejecting the SD card and using a card reader if you are lucky enough to have one built in.

Sure, the LCD is bright and beautiful, however when the photos are examined closely on a large monitor they are soft and grainy. The only time I was satisfied with the photo quality was when the captured object was close and very well lit. This camera does not come close to the quality of my older Sony Cybercam DSC-W5, at a modest 5.0 MP. I would also like to add that the finish scratches very very easily, so be careful and always use the protective white sleeve provided.

Canon just did it again and came up with an amazing product in a great price. The menu and operation is super friendly and easy to use. The screen is wide enough to watch without readers...

I was comparing this camera with the SD1000 and for the very slight price difference, it is worth the extra few dollars to get the 3" screen. Takes great pictures that are comparible to my G9. Great camera to have tucked away when you do not feel like lugging a larger camera around!

Comments about Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital Elph Digital Camera (Black):
I've had several canon cameras over the years including IXUS (powershot in the states) V2 and 400 and I've always loved it. What's particularely great about this one apart from the awsome picture quality is the speed of turning it on and short lag time. A very cool (although a bit neccessary) feature is that it has a built in gyroscope so when you turn the camera the display turns as well).

This camera fits in a jeans pocket, no problem - it's always with me for daily spur-of-the-moment shots. The controls are simple, but not painfully tiny. It's well built. If this camera had better noise reduction and a few manual controls (flash, exposure) instead of silly ones (MyColors, etc) it would be perfect.

For the price, this is probably the best camera you can buy. I also own a 40D, and for the few times i don't have it with me, this little (but very solid) camera is right there to take the shot. Screen size is perfect, handling is great too. The controls may be a little small but i guesss you can't have a small camera AND a big screen AND normally sized controls. Overall, if your looking for a p&s to carry with you all the time, get this one, you won't regret.

Fast focusing, good in low light, natural colour and solid construction. Fantastic rendition of colour and overall atmosphere of the subject matter. Could be more user friendly but is worth the time to explore.

I use this camera to take snapshots of my family and their sporting activities.
The camera is relatively easy to use and has a lot of features. I like the compact size, and the large LCD. It makes very high-quality images.
I also like the SDHC card support. My 8GB card will hold over 4000 7-MegaPixel images.
I wish it had a bit more optical zoom and it would be nice to have a running battery-life indicator. There is also some shutter-lag in certain modes.

We use our SD750 for many things around the home and for my investment business. We now have around 86,459 photos of our 8 month old son and they all look quite darling. Recently purchased the WP-DC14 waterproof case and looking forward to some nice photos in the corals off the coast of Thailand. Hey, life is good!

Comments about Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital Elph Digital Camera (Black):
Great product with good quality pictures and good battery life. Turns on fast and is ready to use in an instant. The only drawback, if you can call it a drawback, is the movie quality isn't compressed enough to take a long movie but it works great for short clips.
Overall it's a really great camera with some good features that takes excellent pictures.
