It seemed good at first but had not missed a good DVD Player.Unfortunately it commissioned in the U.S. to bring me to Uruguay. I've used relatively little (no more than 30 DVD) and is currently not capable of playing DVD movies. It appears to undercut the reader although it reads SVCD DVD and AVI or other formats. On the other hand, I find no solution because it can not find the lens for repair! Nor is there support in UY, does it send the parts still under warranty as it is? In short, I paid little for something that lasted only 90 days! A VERY BAD CHOICE!

Great picture and sound. Remote control is very useful in car. Plays all the file types you would want, good size and lightweight. For playing AVI or DivX just plug in your flash drive/SD card and the file list pops right up. Though the specification doesn't show AV in capability, mine came with one.
It also plays all kinds of VCDs and SVCDs. This was very important to me, as I have lots of them for my daughter.

Nice portable DVD player with USB and SD card slot.
I tried Music, Video and JPEG files on a single USB drive and all worked! The SD card goes in the proper way, and functions just like the USB drive. The player reads DivX, MPEG2, MP3, all kinds of DVDs,CDs and importantly it plays VCD, SVCD as well(though the desciption doesn't say)! I have lot of old cartoon VCDs and my daughter enjoys watching them.
Cons: Made up of cheap plastic.
Doesn't play .rmvb video files.
Controls on the DVD player are stiff.

I didn't want to mess with discs on a road trip so I loaded an 8gb sd card with hours of movies and it played them without a hitch. Battery life is pretty good, I think around 4 hours. It's a can't miss for the price.

I bought this DVD player simply because of the divx capabilities and ability to play movies from a thumb drive. Does what I need it to do.

I can only play original DVDs (no backups, Playable in all other DVD players I own)
I connected a few USB drives, and it doesn't recognize them, so what's the point?!
You can get a cheaper DVD player with no USB

I bought this player for my Grandson to watch while traveling back and forth to daycare. The first one worked for 80 days (90 day warranty) and I received a replacement. [...] The second one just went belly up -we connect the power cord to run or to charge the battery but it does not make contact anymore. Customer service is not sure if the replacement is warrantied. I would never own another Coby product. I do not like waiting 6+ weeks for a replacement product that lasts a little more than 10 weeks.

This was a GREAT buy!! Especially if you have kids and travel long distances!! The overall size and battery life without the car or AC charger is perfect for back seat, restaurant and hotel room movie viewing!! Besides the cost and accessories that came with it, we LOVE about the DVD player is the ability to play movies from a USB port "stick" or card as well as the typical DVD itself! I highly recommend this product for travel with children!

I've owned this DVD player for less than a month, but it's been great so far. We mainly use it for my two year old in the car, but have connected it to the televison to watch some movies and shows I had on the computer. The picture is clear, the sound is good and loud, and the remote works well enough to control it from the front seat of my car while the player is mounted to the back of the headrest.

I have tried DVDs, an SD card, and a USB drive with the player, and all work well. The only file I had trouble with would not play correctly on another player as well, so I won't blame it for that.

Though the case is all plastic, it seems sturdy enough. A great deal, especially considering the price.

I am using it in my car with head seat mount (in the package) for my son (12 month). My nephew (8 year old) and niece (4 year old) also love it. The swivel design is nice to use in car. Divx compatibility is another good thing.
Screen look little small due to wide screen propotion.

Great product with many features, easy to use playes MPEG videos and Photos easly, and the USB input is a plus feature, player comes with many accessories for a low price, the only drowback is that its a bit bulky, otherwise highly recommanded.

We've used this product so far on plane rides. The charge lasted about 2.5 hours and we were able to plug it in to charge during layovers very easily. We'll now be using it for the family room but haven't tried it there yet. The screen swivels and you can completely swivel it around and then push it down for a more compact version of it. It has two plugs for two people to listen in and sound was great. A nice little portable DVD player.

It has potentialy great feauters : DviX , USB Swivel - very convinient , but quality is poor.First one did stop accidently we have to return it- no charge .The second one stops in the middle of the movie ,slows , start again , or say no disc- you NEVER know if you survive to the end of the movie it is ANNOING !!! we have to return second one [...]. This device looks good and has gereat price , but need some improvements.DON'T buy it yet .

Experience:
Used for a couple of days and only using USB keys and divx with no issues with keys taht were able to be read. Refuses to read an older kingston usb key. Picture is extremely good with the sound okay (could be loluder). Sound excllent with headphones.

No way to fast forward divx without the remote. Remote does FF, Fast back, slow. Subtitles worked for divx. Could have been thinner, but it is still small form facto.

Plugged into Hotel TV to watch movie and was great. Case itself is lets say on the flimsy side but cannot tell if something will break.

Very versatile play back options USB, SD card & DVD switchable. The swiveling LCD is a great plus for small kids, and the light weight makes it easy to carry. The DVD front latch a little awkward and the 7 inch screen may be to small for some viewers. My viewers are small so all works well including the accessories and soft case that is part of the kit. All and all this is a good product for a fair price and I do recommend it to all looking for a durable DVD player that will last.
