The mini KP from Korg, is a portable effects processor that utilizes a "touch-screen" pad to control various aspects of the unit's operation. Moving a finger left to right across the pad controls certain aspects of the sound. Moving it up and down controls other set of parameters.
Since different effect parameters are assigned to the X-axis and Y-axis of the touch-pad, the user is able to control multiple parameters at the same time, for example varying the delay time and the feedback simultaneously, a function that in conventional processors would require two-handed operation. It's also easy to apply complex effects by rubbing or tapping the pad with a fingertip.
The mini-KP provides battery operation and mobility for the DJ, while its portability makes it perfect for outdoor live events, or for use with a portable audio player. The unit is equally suited for home studio applications, containing one hundred effects including filter, delay and a looper, all covering a wide range of musical styles.

Comments about Korg mini-KP Effects Processor:
It's a pretty cool piece of equipment. I bought it to use in conjunction with my Yamaha DX-7 for live shows. I play in an indie rock band, and some old synth sounds are just too dry to play direct, so i like to add a little delay or reverb. Honestly, i was slightly disappointed with the selection of reverbs it has, but some of the delays are insane. I could see the kp mini being a much more useful tool for a dj, as there are some heavily manipulative effects on this thing. And it's great how small it is, it'll fit in your pocket for god's sake! Overall, good piece of equipment to have at your disposal in the studio or live.

Comments about Korg mini-KP Effects Processor:
Korg has been on a roll in recent years with these pint-sized products aimed at the prosumer and hobbyist markets. Surpringly affordable, the Mini-KP has the capabilities of its bigger siblings, but the cost savings are evident in the lightweight plastic chassis and decidedly "home-stereo" RCA connectors. For my needs the tradeoff is more than worthwhile, the low price point got me in the door, and now that I'm there the quality of the sounds coming from this baby Kaoss pad are impressive, intuitive, and inspiring.
I immediately hooked the mini-kp to the P.A. at band practice, and ran the vocal channels to it. My bandmates were skeptical, but quickly won over when they heard the crisp, reactive delays I applied to their singing. Later at home I tried routing the mini-kp through my favorite delay, a vintage vestafire with modulation. Instant crazy synth jam fun. Simply awesome.

Comments about Korg mini-KP Effects Processor:
If you need a highly portable effect box that can do a little of everything, this is exactly what you need. I love the simplicity of the interface, and the portability and I'll be using this at every show I play from here on out.
That said, there aren't enough options for leveling or external control for this to be a great studio instrument, so make sure you know what you're buying before you get it.
That said, great bang for the buck.

If you just need simple bend effects and are not doing much more than playing around, this device is perfect. It's not quite studio quality, and features are limited though. If you need more definately go with the KOASS KP3.

Comments about Korg mini-KP Effects Processor:
I bought this with the Korg Kaossilator. Both of these little machines compliment each other well. Very cool effects! As with all digital machines it does what it can. Definitely does not sound as good as a nice analog effect, unless you're going for that clean pristine sound.
