Love this player! It is my second Mp3 player and leaves the first one in the dust! I listen to audio books daily and the bookmarking feature of this player makes it worthwhile in itself. Also, the auto resume feature is great, as I do not spend my time trying to relocate the place I had left off in my book. Out of 5 in our family, 3 now own Cowon d2's by my recommendation.It is also great for music.Battery life is amazing and with a little study, it is really easy to use. Love the touch screen! Nothing bad to say.

The D2 is small enough to fit in my shirt pocket. Using the ear bud headphones the sound is great, I purchase some noise canceling headphones that are more comfortable and enjoy an even better sound. I was able to attach the D2 to the USB port on my computer and copy my MP3 and WMA music files directly to the D2 with out reading the instructions or loading the special JetShell software. With a little time, I was able to navigate through the Setup, Picture, Text, and Video options without any problems. The case is very sturdy and attractive. I put a screen protector sheet on the LCD screen, and I am able to navigate very easily all the menus with my finger nail. I have also used a PDA sylus that works as well. I am totally happy with the great sound, ease of use, and easy connectivity to my computer. I am still using the D2 after two weeks on the initial charge. Documentation incomplete. When to Cowon websit and downloaded the PDF User Manual that was very helpful and much more complete.

cowon d2 looks so big in your hand. clix2 more charismatic player than cowon d2. d2s sound quality is like a headache, it sounds so "digitally" i dont recommend D2.

It is not that easy to down load music to. But, The sound quality surely makes up for that. I have also noticed that battery life is extremely long. I am very surprised to actually see how long it lasts with out charging. I also love the graphics. I have chosen to leave the protective film on screen so that I could use my finger to write with. I love that I can listen to the radio. I highly recommend the D2. Just take the time to figure it out first.

Software not entirely necessary (drag and drop files) but easy to use.
Disappointed with the headphones as they won't stay in you ears.

I am a first time MP3 Player buyer so this was a new experience. After reviewing a variety of products and researching in detail I kept coming back to the Cowen D2. I am very pleased. It took awhile to figure out the features and honestly I am still figuring out some of the more complex features (but this is due to my ignorance not the product). I tried to move music first using the JetShell and JetAudio but found that the simplest and easiest program to use was Windows Media Player. Navigating around the music library takes a couple steps to get to from the main menu but once you get there it's easy to use. The pictures feature is great and has a nice look on the larger screen. All in all I am pleased and looking forward to delving into the remaining features.

I don't think any manufacturer can top this product. It has so many more features than an iPod and other PMP's and at half the price. It takes just seconds to convert your vids to your Cowon and the quality & battery life are incredible. This would make the ideal gift for that special someone. I'm going to buy a backup in case mine gets lost or stolen.

This is my very first PMP, so I might be counted out when it comes to writing a good review. But I did a lot of really in depth research on this PMP before I bought it. A major REVIEW site gave it a REALLY good review. And after about a week I finally decided to purchase it.

Firstly as usual the customer service on this site is always amazing, and my product was delivered pretty quickly, even being as anxious and impatient as I was!

The product itself was beautiful. The sound is amazing, the colors are incredible. Its very user friendly indeed. AND if you dont mind a few finger prints its not ABSOLUTELY necessary to use the Stylus. At first when I read the product info on another site I thought it was going to be really heavy and large. Its really not. Its actually quite light and it can fit into a pocket easily enough.

The ONLY complaint I had was my computer is a desktop and its 1 year older than my laptop, and I had a hard time installing the Jet software. Even after doing a search online I was still having problems. You really NEED to make sure your computer has updated drives and ports. But I did it on the laptop and it worked fine with absolutely no problems.

Other than that I love it. I think it was a really good investment.

A sweet PMP, excellent sound quality with no distortion evenat high volume levels. Great sound shaping effects includingsynthetic 3D and enhanced stereo along with dedicatedsettings for various genres of music. I also have a Meizu M6that doesn't come remotely close to the sound quality ofthis unit.First, the Meizu does not have anywhere near the power /volume. Second, the Meizu starts to distort big time even at thelower volume it is capable of.Back to the D2, I also like the touch screen, I'm able touse my finger to navigate the menus and controls. For thosewho prefer there is a nice little stylus included thatdoubles as a stand for video viewing. FM radio works OK, depends on the headphone wires for antenna.Be sure to upgrade your firmware when you get the unit, anew utility is added allowing you to save drawings andsketches including basic painting features such as linewidth, color. You will also want to get some good earphones/ headphones, the included earbuds are uncomfortable and dojustice to the output of this player.It's great to have the expandability of SD cards, giving youessentially unlimited capacity!I haven't fully explored all the features and settings yet,but this is a quality unit that delivers in every way. I amcompletely satisfied.Has great voice recorder with a built in mic for makingverbal notes and such on the run, incredible capacity, Idon't think you will find a dedicated voice recorder tomatch it.Haven't used it for video yet, but the screen is bright andcrisp, I suspect it will be great for on the go videos.Also very pleased with B&H Photo, quick delivery, goodprice, responsive service.

Tried many and have been frustrated with improper folder organization when not using ID3 tags. This player has the option to list files using an option called Folders which is great for simple drag and drop use. It also plays videos amazingly well with no problems. As small as it is the screen is a fine size for viewing videos/ripped DVD's when traveling on a plane and such. You have to use the conversion software but it's a high speed conversion. This player also has a whole slew of sound options for MP3 listening. There's bass boost, equalizer settings, BBE, MP3 enhance, and others. Granted as a musician I don't use some of them but they're there and having the option is great. Battery life is beyond fantastic for a player with a screen this size! Oh, and the volume of this player can go REALLY loud. This is a necessity when listening to old songs like the Doors and the Rolling Stones where more volume is needed as the albums weren't mastered anywhere near as loud as today's music. Lastly, this thing is expandable... you can put in an extra 8gb SD card bringing the unit to 12gigs!! I can't recommend this player enough.

Problems Encountered: None. Only thing I could ask for would be to be able to raise and lower the volume with the hold switch engaged as the buttons are very unlikely to get accidentally pressed anyhow.
