When I first bought the Letus35 Mini adapter for my HV, I thought it would be all right. But then I got the package, and discovered that it was hard and risky to handle such a small plastic cam and that heavy adapter (no matter if you held it from the cam or from the adapter).
Now that I've got them, handling, managing and general use of my sistem (camera, adapter, lenses) has improved big time. I would say it's perfect, but coming from a film school, I have seen some heavy duty rod systems. Nothing for this price, though, so this is as good as it gets for low budget film makers.

I recently bought Panasonic's new video camera that allows me to use my Nikons lenses and needed this to support the lenses. For the price it works well and mounts quickly. I would have liked a quick release for the front standard so I could adjust the height for the lenses in stead of having to use a hex wrench. I used a couple of bolts on the front stands topped with plastic caps to steady the lense instead of buying the additional $80 lens holder.
I would buy again.

I purchased this rods support system along with the Cavision MB385P/M matte box (and a French Flag and various step-up rings) to upgrade my Panasonic AG-HMC40 video camera. The rods support system is very well constructed, has versatile configuration options and is an overall high-quality product. This produce is a very good value.
I had to reconfigure just about every piece of the system from its stock configuration in order for it to best fit with my camera system but it was good that everything was so flexible so that I could make whatever adjustments I needed to to get the best fit.
All parts are sturdy, fill well with the rest of the system and give you the feeling that they will last for a lifetime. I will definitely be looking to Cavision for future purchases.

Positives: I got this to be used with my HV40. It works great and fits perfectly. It's sturdy, not too heavy, and overall a great support system for smaller cameras.
Negatives: You cant change the battery on the HV40 while using the rod support system and have to unscrew the camera or use a wall outlet.

Using this Support system for my 7D HDSLR, I reversed the camera plate and it works great. The only bone I have to pick is the with the size of the Wing Screw on the camera plate, it's tiny, and now I know why Cavision makes a quick release version of this setup.
Other than that it works great, is light weight with excellent build quality.

These are only 10" rails, but the system is so solidly constructed and well-balanced that a mid-sized HDV cam, a relatively bulky 35mm adapter, and a geared follow-focus unit all fit on it. The tightening-levers all feel carefully engineered and ergonomically placed. It is a well designed and handsome support for your rig.

Great for the price. Holds my dvc30 + twoneil 35mm adapter without any issues. The little piece of metal attached to the 1/4" bolt that goes into the bottom of your camera seems a little flimsy but I haven't had any issues with it so far.
