The ScreenPRO-II Seamless Switcher from Barco is a switcher that can be used to achieve various effects through its four-layer architecture: an unscaled background layer, up to (2) scaled picture-in-picture (PIP) or key layers, and a downstream key. Combine them in different ways to produce transition backgrounds, transition PIPs, wipes, dissolves, and keys.
The unit features (2) inputs that can be scaled and mixed to produce mixing within a PIP area or two independent PIPs or keys displayed on a background. Furthermore, (2) high-resolution input channels provide seamless transition backgrounds or high-resolution backgrounds and high-resolution downstream key.
An internal 8x2 analog video router offers universal analog source to each scaler channel. The unit supports input and output resolutions up to UXGA and motion adaptive deinterlacing. The switcher also features a maximum low-video processing delay of (3) input fields. This unit is housed in a 3U rackmount kit.

- This switcher's four-layer architecture allows you to achieve numerous effects, including picture-in-picture, keys, transitions, wipes, and dissolves.
- Picture-In-Picture Effects
- Picture-in-picture options include adjustable size from 1/8 to 8X source resolution, adjustable PIP aspect ratio, PIP borders, drop shadows, and soft edge.
- Keying
- This unit offers numerous key options: luminance key, split key (key alpha and fill), and reverse key (key on background).
- Video Processing
- The switcher ensures high-quality video processing with 10-bit support, 1:1 pixel sampling, motion adaptive deinterlacing, image cropping, aspect-ratio correction, and 3:2 & 2:2 pull-down detect.
- Output Synchronization
- Output synchronization options include free-run, vertically locked to NTSC/PAL blackburst, CSync, or HD tri-level sync.
