The Wi-Fi Phone for Skype from Belkin is a wireless handset that is compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b networks. The phone can be used to make and receive calls using a Skype account. It can be used anywhere a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet is available, including public hotspots. The phone is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It is an excellent way to take your Skype service with you while you are out and about.

I use the product at home for my long distance and for receive a call from my relative who don't have a PC. We can also receive a call when I am to friends and at restaurant and when we travel, most of rest area and Hotel have a WIFI spot . The reception is great and like it very mutch

I was already a registered Skype user, but the headsets were kind of a hassle. So I had high hopes when I bought this phone.
Charged it up, and turned it on. Chose 'English.' Then, it searched for my secured network and found it instantly. I plugged in my WEP key, and then entered my Skype username and password. I was up and running in less than 2 minutes.
Called my home phone and left a message. As I was calling, I could hear the call perfectly. And then when I played back the message, I couldn't believe the sound quality!
I understand its limitations: if you need to launch a browser to get on the internet, like in Starbucks, it won't work because it doesn't have a browser.
But, around any personal or office WiFi environment, this phone works, and works perfectly.

We bought this phone to use to communicate with our friends & family in the US when we moved to Mexico. It works well enough. It's very easy to set up, but the menu is a bit cumbersome. The battery seems to drain fairly quickly. Once it just died during the middle of a conversation and wouldn't do anything until I removed the battery and put it back in. I don't think it was worth the price, but it was the only Skype phone we could find at the time. And like I said, it does OK.

I was looking for a wifi phone to serve as a home phone via skype in. I can say it does the job very well, when its working. That phone crashes a few times a day and the battery life is too short. It also seems to be made of cheap plastic.
