The Induro C214 Carbon 8X C-Series Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs offers the ultimate in strength, lightweight, fast action and reliable performance. It uses 8 layer, 2nd generation carbon fiber technology for its leg construction. This 8x tubing is 60% stronger overall than conventional carbon fiber tripods. This is achieved by using more fibers and less epoxy in the manufacturing blend.
Induro C-series tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, foam leg grips, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips, reversible 1/4-20 to 3/8" mounting threads, a bubble level, and mounting set screws. They also come supplied with a padded carrying bag.

Comments about Induro C214 Carbon 8X C-Series Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:
I've only have the tripod for a couple weeks. I chose it as a compromise in collapsed size, weight, rigidity, & capacity. I wanted the rigidity & capacity of my Bogen 3021 in a tripod that would fit inside my luggage for air travel & weighed half as much. So far, it's been to China and carried up the Great Wall & to the summit of Mt Emei (for total solar eclipse) using DSLR with medium weight lenses (~5 lbs total). It has met my goals & I am happy with it. Leg finish is a hair rough but that may be normal for carbon fiber tripods (this is my first carbon fiber unit). Twist locks need to be snugged tight to hold but all my other tripods have lever lock legs (i.e. my twist lock technique isn't yet automatic). This unit was never intended to replace my Bogen tripods but to augment them. I plan on using it when I'm hand carrying equipment & hiking into remote areas. Further experience will determine usage but to date I am _very_ pleased with the lighter weight when this tripod is slung over my shoulder & I'm climbing a mountain.

Comments about Induro C214 Carbon 8X C-Series Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:
I got this tripod new and on all the research I did it was really the best value of anything I looked at. I was trying to find a tripod that was lightweight enough to be carried around. It comes with a handy carrying case and shoulder strap making it very portable, measures about 2.5 feet - all in all it is very portable and easy to carry around and it does the job. Not like carrying a heavy tripod around, you can put this one on your shoulder and forget it's there so in that sense its ideal for travel... the one I am replacing this for is a Gitzo older version CF and weighs nearly 15 lbs! I am shooting with a Mamiya RZ67 ProII when using this tripod and it does really well. You'd have to research the specs on your camera & maybe try it out on the tripod first to be sure about the weightload but for the price, and value (8x carbon compared with Gitzo's models) it is the best lightweight tripod I could find on the market... I compared it to the Benro C-258N6 / C series and what I learned was that Induro is the American counterpart of Benro (the European branch). The Benro version is slightly less expensive (about $100 at my time of purchase) but I think both are comparable and this tripod is the best value I could find if you don't have it to invest in a Gitzo.
