I bought this card for my new Canon XSi (12 MP SLR camera). It is fully compatible with the camera and works great. It is really fast - it records 18 MB raw image in less than a second. The transfer rate to the computer is great using either the card reader provided with the card or by direct connecton of the camera to the computer.
With card reader provided, this card can serve as a flash drive, readily recognizible by all computers I tried so far.
However, I have to agree with previous reviewer - this card is not compatible with SD card slot built into my HP nc8000 laptop (made in 2004). If inserted, it is not recognized by Windows XP Professional OS. Furhtermore, it is somewhat difficult to eject it from the SD slot in my laptop.
Considering the price and the speed, I would highly recommend this card to my friend. Actually, I am going to buy additional card like this for myself.

We got this card to replace a 2GB Ultra II that was in our camera bag that somebody walked off with. The 4GB Extreme III is fast and has a large capacity; the problem with it is that we can no longer just connect our Canon PowerShot A630 to the computer with a USB cable to download our photos. Now we have to remove the Extreme III card from the camera, insert it into the SanDisk MicroMate reader (that came with the Extreme III card, thank God), and connect that to our USB hub, first disconnecting another cable because the MicroMate reader is too wide to fit into a single USB slot. After the photos download, then we eject the reader, pop the card out and reinsert it into the camera.
So, it's a mixed bag. Fast and high capacity; cumbersome to download.

Comments about SanDisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC Memory Card:
I use this memory card in my Samsung NX100. I was using a Class 4 card, and got accustomed to the time it took to clear the camera's buffer. In "Continuous Mode", the camera's buffer would fill up after 9 shots and take about 10 seconds to clear. With the SanDisk Class 10, 30MB/s card the buffer never fills up! There's a little green light that flashes while the buffer's being cleared & I don't see it much anymore... Good, fast cards are so inexpensive, it makes no sense to shoot with anything else. I mostly photograph my fast-moving kids, and now I never miss a shot waiting on a slow memory card.

Comments about SanDisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC Memory Card:
I needed some new cards. I don't take movies or ever use the motor drive so the Sandisk Extreme is way more card than I can use or need, but, the price difference between the near top of the line card and a mediocre card so small and it can be used over and over - why not go for the best! I had to buy a new card reader for this card type.

Images write faster to the card. Not sure why I waited so long to upgrade my card, but it was well worth the money spent.

Comments about SanDisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC Memory Card:
No complaints. Write speed keeps up with the camera even in Burst Mode. I have never had a failure with a SanDisk card. 4GB is large enough for me because I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. A larger card would only be slower on uploading to my computer.

Although I realize they come larger, I prefer 4Gb cards in case of theft, loss or heaven forbid, corruption. Would rather lose 260 shots than 1000 or more! But that's just me. SanDisk are the only cards I've purchased for the last three years. They invented the SD card!

Comments about SanDisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC Memory Card:
I chose SanDisk because it's what I've used in the past. I've had this card for just under a month and haven't had any issues with it. The last SanDisk card I had still works after six years of use and I expect this one will perform the same.

I use this card in my Canon EOS 60D and it allows me to take several pictures in succession. I liked the price of this SD card and it serves me as a temporary picture storage device until I get larger cards for my camera.

Don't under buy. If transfer rate is what you want for your camera's fast continuous shots you need the Extreme 20 MB speed. I just bought a the Nikon D7000 with 6 fps capability. I want the higher transfer rate.
