Comments about Smith-Victor 700SG 600 Watt Quartz Light (120 V):
I bought two of these lights, I also bought two ets of barn-doors and brellas for these.
These are great small light-weight lights that put out a lot of light for it's size. I don't even use the case for these, I jut throw them into my backpack with some small nano manfrotto light stands, this is my small and flexible light package. All I have to carry is my Sony EX3 or Panny AF1100 in a Kata bag, a small 501 tripod, and these lights in my backpack with some gels/diffusion and clothes pins. and I have even smaller Lowel L lights too. I can walk for miles with everything I need to do most basic jobs.

I use for video production for government facility. I like the portability and light output. Wish it came with a diffuser to dampen light.
I would recommend to others with similar needs.

Comments about Smith-Victor 700SG 600 Watt Quartz Light (120 V):
Easy to use. Simple to set up. A Substantial and powerful light source that works great with umbrellas.
The only thing to watch out for is that the plastic covering on the lamp easily cracks and chips.

Comments about Smith-Victor 700SG 600 Watt Quartz Light (120 V):
This 600 watt light will blind you. Great for over all lighting when shooting video. Since its non-focusable I aim mine at the ceiling and use it to naturally light any room. It smokes for about the first 15 minutes of use as the paint cures. This is normal and mentioned in the instructions.

Comments about Smith-Victor 700SG 600 Watt Quartz Light (120 V):
Very very bright. Does put off a bit of heat. But in a large open area it is not that bad. Be careful not to trip over it and fall. I have two and both have fell and broke outter glass and some of the shell. Good thing is the cost if so low I did not mind replacing.

Comments about Smith-Victor 700SG 600 Watt Quartz Light (120 V):
This is a great deal, good price, good quality. There was a slight chip out of the edge, but the good people at B&H happily replaced it for me and I was on my way in minutes. I'm planning to go back and buy a second one very soon.
