Comments about JMI Telescopes CASENEX6 Telescope Carrying Case:
Although my first thought was, "seems a bit expensive"; I quickly realized the amount of protection this case provides is exactly what I was looking for. The foam fit perfect right out of the box with no modifcation. If you are serious about protecting your equipment and investment this is a must have.

Comments about JMI Telescopes CASENEX6 Telescope Carrying Case:
I purchased the CASENEX6 Carrying Case by JMI for a Celestron NexStar 6 SE Telescope. This case includes no foam and requires that you use the packaging material from the original telescope box. The telescope/foam fit well and the case appears adequate to protect the telescope during transport. The top and bottom of the case that I received are somewhat misaligned and cause it to catch when closing. Also, this case is not designed to hold any additional telescope accessories. Overall, this case appears to be the best available option and seems more than adequate to transport and/or store your telescope.

Comments about JMI Telescopes CASENEX6 Telescope Carrying Case:
This is very simple it is a PVC type case that you insert your scope shipping foam into. It is strong has a great handle and locks. The only problem is you need a second case to carry your accessories.

Comments about JMI Telescopes CASENEX6 Telescope Carrying Case:
We purchased a Cellestron 6SE telescope and decided we needed to get a hard case for when the telescope is in storage. We searched thru a lot of options trying to wage our feelings of cost vs value.
The case was pretty much the most affordable case. While it did lack some features like the inclusion of packing material for your telescope (you are required to use the material from the original box when it was shipped to you - actaully I like that idea as it fits snuuger, however it's hard styrophome instead of cousin padding), it allow us to save a good chunk of change, yet be confident in the protection provided.
The best advantage is that it fits both the motor and the telescope. Now we only need bring seperately our eye pieces and tripod and we're set for viewing!
All, in all it's a good buy/fit. All cases seem greately over priced, but this was the least over priced.

Comments about JMI Telescopes CASENEX6 Telescope Carrying Case:
Bought this case to transport my Nexstar 4 from NY to Brazil and endured very well the air flight.
Now at home, I realize that I would not have be able to properly store it without this case.
Now, two bits of advice:
1) Use the foam from the original box
2) It holds only the telescope on the altazimuth arm. The tripod does not fit inside the box.

This case is rugged and durable, all you need to do is use the foam from the original box. The price is great, and it holds my NexStar 6SE perfectly!
