This kit contains an
Akai MPC1000 and a pair of
M1Active 620 nearfield studio monitors from
Alesis. This allows you not only to create the music you love, but also to play it back through high-quality monitors that fit right into your home or project studio.
The MPC1000 has 16 pressure-sensitive pads, intuitive locate and transport controls, and two Q-Link sliders for real-time tuning, filter cutoff, and more. It offers a 64-track sequencer and a 32-voice sampler. It records to internal memory, readily-available CompactFlash Cards with capacities up to 2GB, or to an optional internal hard drive. A variety of connectors are provided for input and output of audio, connection of footswitches, MIDI devices, and more.
The M1Active 620 monitors each have a 6.5" woofer and a 1" silk dome tweeter for a flat frequency response of 49Hz to 20kHz. The 95W bi-amplified design provides plenty of power in a small cabinet, which has a 1" thick baffle to help eliminate resonance. The units are magnetically shielded for safe use near video monitors and offer both XLR and 1/4" input connectors. There are tone adjustment controls along with controls to adjust the monitors to your acoustic space.
