The Porta Brace POL-MV1 Polar Mitten Mini-DV Case is a thickly padded, insulated case made for the Sony HVR-V1 camcorder. It has air-activated warmers placed inside the case to maintain interior temperatures to keep battery, recorder, lens and hands warm. The case has been tested at minus 50° Fahrenheit. There are fleece cuffs at the lens that allow for a warm access. The case is made from black nylon material with Mylar heat-reflective, high-loft insulation.
The Polar Mitten includes four movable heat packs.
