- High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
- The DVD-48 features an HDMI output, capable of reproducing and upconverting video signals to 720p/1080i and 1080p. This technology enables the DVD-48 to carry the HD audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available.
- Progressive Scan Capability
- The DVD-48 is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.
- Dolby Digital and DTS Processing
- The DVD-48 has built-in processors to handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio processing, capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 96KHz.
- Component Output
- The DVD-48 achieves greater color accuracy and high resolution playback capability when connected via the component output to your projector, plasma and/or LCD/CRT televisions.

This DVD was easy to connect (one cable using the HDMI connections) and easy to set up. On screen menus are easy to follow. Have only had for two weeks but I have no complaints so far.

We bought this for our home theater, where we're using it with a ViewSonic projector and a basic surround sound system. It's excellent - great picture, easy to use, attractive styling that goes well with our other components. We've been using this for a few weeks now, and have nothing bad to say about it!

I am very impressed with the picture quality of this player. I have a very simple system (no surround-sound and a 32 inch TV) but my DVDs look great using this player.
