- High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
- The DVD-38 features an HDMI output, capable of reproducing and upconverting video signals to 720p and 1080i. This technology enables the DVD-38 to carry the HD audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available.
- Progressive Scan Capability
- The DVD-38 is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.
- Dolby Digital and DTS Processing
- The DVD-38 has built-in processors to handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio processing, capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 96KHz.
