The Astro Systems DM-3106 is a 6.3" high definition LCD panel designed to be both portable and durable. Packing an ultra-high resolution panel into a modest frame makes this unit a prefect complement to any serious production.

The LCD is light enough to mount on top of ENG, digital cinema and prosumer units, without sacrificing sought after features often left off panels in small frames. While field monitoring is its primary function, the DM-3106 can be used in a wide variety of environments, including broadcast studios, editing workstations, and OB vans.

Equipped with enhanced viewing angles, HD-SDI connectivity, and a standard IDX battery plate, the DM-3106 is the ultimate in high definition field monitor for almost any video environment.

Key Features

• High Viewable Angle: The high vertical and horizontal viewing angles ensure that users can continue to view the LCD no matter where they are positioned. This feature can be useful during productions with limited space to offer, while also allowing for some delightfully unorthodox mounting arrangements.

• Format Compatibility: The DM-3106 handles almost any format in standard or high definition, including PAL signals. The signal is automatically detected and resized on the screen without the need to flip a switch or push a button. Bravo!

• DC Power Options: If the camera package uses the popular V-mount batteries, the monitor can be powered using the same existing batteries. A 4-pin XLR input allows the unit to be powered via any professional DC power supply as well.

• HD-SDI: The panel comes equipped to handle component, composite and SDI (serial digital interface) video signals. The advantage of SDI (HD and SD) is that the video signal is transmitted in its original uncompressed form, producing the highest quality image possible; SDI has quickly become one of the most used transmission tools for professional video applications.
