JVC VR-N900U Network Video Recorder with 4 Analog Inputs

The JVC VR-N900U offers a comprehensive recording solution for commercial security applications containing a mix of analog and digital cameras. The NVR accepts 4 directly connected analog cameras and supports an additional 5 IP devices such as cameras, encoders and decoders through the network. Both analog and digital cameras can be accessed for viewing live and recorded images as well as PTZ control, both locally and from a remote Internet location.

Key Features

• Embedded XProtect Enterprise Software: This NVR ships preinstalled with XProtect Enterprise software. Developed as a stand alone application, JVC partnered with Milestone Systems A/S to produce a version of XProtect Enterprise specifically tailored for this NVR. Working in conjunction with front panel controls, it provides an operator with intuitive fingertip control over all NVR functions and features.

• Advanced PTZ Control: Both analog and network PTZ cameras can be accessed locally and from a remote location for operating their pan, tilt and zoom functions. Regardless of a camera's inherent PTZ capabilities, this NVR supports 50 preset positions, auto patrol and auto return as well as a go-to function.

• MJPEG & MPEG4 Recording: Video can be recorded in either the MJPEG or MPEG4 compression formats. This allows a user for example to view live images in the higher resolution MJPEG format while recording is taking place in the lower quality but faster MPEG4 format. A user can also choose one over the other to save on hard drive space or to satisfy a particular network requirement.

• AVI Conversion: Both MJPEG and MPEG4 images can be easily converted to AVI for viewing on any Windows media player program.

• Motion Detection Function: A motion detection function, configurable for size and sensitivity, can be assigned to each camera input. Motion detection alerts can be used to trigger recordings and can be sent to multiple Email addresses over the network.
