The Davis & Sanford Monopod Duo with SwitchGrip Mini Tripod with Ballhead is a dual camera support solution. It consists of a standard 60" monopod, and nested inside is a removable mini tripod that is concealed inside the patented SwitchGrip handle.

The SwitchGrip also provides a mini-ballhead. The standard monopod-with-ballhead supports 2.5 lbs on the ballhead, or up to 7 lbs on the platform provided on the cap.

The Monopod Duo is designed for photographers who need a tabletop plus a full size monopod for a variety of applications. It offers the support for when a tripod is not practical, i.e. sporting events, concerts, hiking, field activities and more.

The all-metal 2-section mini-tripod is 7.5" high, and can support up to 2.5 lbs.

Comments about Davis & Sanford Monopod Duo:

The monopod worked great for the first few times I used it. The bottom clamp for the extention leg broke upon opening it to extend the leg. Then it was a flailing leg that could not be secured.
I have owned other monopods in the past and they tend to last for years. It's not like they go through significant abuse. Maybe I got the one bad one?
