The SB-SF300 Photoflex StarFlash 300 Watt/Second Monolight is suitable for the professional, as well as the aspiring photographer. The StarFlash uses a high-quality German flash tube. The modeling light can be set at full brightness or proportional to the flash tube light output.
This strobe can be used with a reflector, umbrella, or softbox. The included Tilt Swivel Mount is secure and allows for tilt range of 170°. The Tilt Swivel can be repositioned on the StarFlash to compensate for weight imbalance when using larger soft boxes. This monolight can be fired with the included mono to PC sync cord, or via its optical slave, from another flash.

Comments about Photoflex StarFlash 300 W/S Monolight (120V):
They can be hair light, side separator, snoot, background fill, and portrait fill.
The SF 300 is compact and easy to set up. Can be fired in sync with the other 5 heads I use with wireless triggers. A safe speed is 1/125 to have them all in the picture. Hope Photoflex pumps up the response speed to level with that of the trigger's 1/200 sec.

Comments about Photoflex StarFlash 300 W/S Monolight (120V):
I have 1 Starflash 650, two 300s and two lights by another popular manufacturer. I reach for the Starflash first. The Starflashes are dynamite with large softboxes. Great brackets. I use large softboxes almost every shoot. They have performed flawlessly and Photoflex has good tech support. I would buy them again without hesitation. Extremely pleased with these lights.
