Manfrotto 756XB MDeVe Aluminum Video Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 8.8 lbs (4kg)
The Manfrotto 756XB MDeVe Aluminum Video Tripod Legs is an extremely versatile two-stage aluminum tripod that was designed specifically for run-and-gun videographers using Mini-DV or DVCAM camcorders where rapid, reliable setup and take-down is paramount. Supporting payloads up to 8.8 lbs (4 kg), it reaches a top height of 57", and folds down to under 22".
The 756XB has been redesigned to offer better ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism, and improved quick action leg locks. Flip lever leg locks clamp down tightly in one motion, yet are adjustable for wear over time. The built-in 50mm leveling ball provides rapid column leveling on uneven terrain, and leg tubes are grooved and keyed for torsional stability during setup and use. The center tube can easily be converted as a lateral arm.

Solid. Collapses small, Easy for standard suitcase.
I work a lot internationally. I needed a small but solid tripod. This tripod with 701v works very well for me. I clip on my backpack to add weight once I am set up.

We use this tripod for remote outdoor locations. It's fast to set up, light but sturdy. The camera is a Canon GL2.
We bought this tripod becuase it folds to the same size as the kata OC-84 camera case (21").

With the majority of my videos being family and travel type stuff, these legs work great for just throwing out the legs and using the leveling ball to get level shots. No playing with legs until you think it's level. Super easy and good travel size/weight. Haven't owned it for too long so I can't comment on it's durability but it feels very solid and well made. No complaints there. My only very minor complaint is that flipping the centre column takes a bit of work. Other than that 5 stars.
