The MM6 from Yamaha is a 61-key synthesizer keyboard that offers a wealth of features in a lightweight, compact form. The 418 high-quality voices and 22 drum kits are based on those found in the pro-level MOTIF series synths for a natural, realistic sound that lets you create music in a variety of genres. Pitch and modulation wheels, along with other real-time controls allow you to tweak your sound as you go.
A full complement of patterns are preprogrammed into the MM6 in a variety of styles to provide realistic backup to your playing. An arpeggiator lets you quickly create repeating phrases and patterns, while an eight-track sequencer lets you record a song for later playback. A performance memory function lets you store the voices, patterns, and other settings of a particular session so you can recall them quickly at a future performance.
The rear panel features a stereo output, headphone jack, foot pedal inputs, MIDI connectors, and USB ports for connection to a computer or external USB storage drive. Once your audio is transferred to your computer, you can use the included Cubase LEa software to edit and process your music.

Comments about Yamaha MM6 - 61-Key Synthesizer Keyboard:
I plan on using this board with a PSR-S910 Keyboard. It is my take that for the home hobbyist, or beginner keyboardist/OMB that is looking for a very lightweight setup and would be adding the MM6 as a second board that has just about all you would need-this is it. Granted neither of these boards are top of the line, but when combined together when paired with the right mixer & speaker system can deliver pretty good results. I own the original Motif-6 and can tell you this-the Motif sounds are in the MM6, but the Motif richness in the voice itself is not. But, since I am using this board with a PSR that is not a problem at all as the quality of sound of the MM6 is similar to the PSR. The keyboard action is just like the PSR so in my setup it is actually preferred. The key feel and action is no where near as good as a genuine Motif however. Just a word of caution: since this keyboard is so incredibly lightweight-watch out! I think at some point for me, durability may be an issue so I am babying this keyboard. But then again, I try to keep all my gear in the best possible condition.
