The Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8115 Digital Frame goes beyond standard digital photo frames, as it is built to easily integrate into a digital lifestyle.

The most impressive feature on the MF-8115 is its connectivity. The multimedia frame is Windows Vista-capable right out of the box. What does that mean? Well, this frame will let a user view photos located on their PC's hard drive as well as an online photo-sharing site, and display the files on the digital photo frame. What is even more exciting is that the frame can be connected with either a standard USB link or an 802.11 Wi-Fi. On top of that, the MF-8115 has 256MB of built-in flash memory that can be supplemented with a direct connection to a USB hard drive or a USB flash drive filled with media files, for users not running Vista or who simply do not want to keep their computers running all day long.

The MF-8115 is compatible with a wide array of photo, video and audio file formats, and can present a photo slideshow accompanied by music broadcast from its built-in stereo speakers.

This digital photo frame easily integrates itself and becomes a welcome addition to a home entertainment system. The LCD display can also be removed from the included frame, and any other standard picture frame can be used to visually blend in with a home's interior design.

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8115 15" Premium Digital Picture Frame:

When I started looking for a digital frame, I checked out all the usual stores in Canada but couldn't find a one with all of the features this model offers, especially the Wi-Fi.

The pictures play crystal clear with no lag in the slide show. It's an awesome choice and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8115 15" Premium Digital Picture Frame:

And we were so looking forward to this new technology. We love the concept of a Digital Frame and having ever changing pictures. It is really neat. We wanted so bad for this to work. Here's my experience with this product...Good: (This is the easy part) It's 15", looks nice, & it's wireless.Bad: (Bear with me) IT ONLY COMES IN BLACK. There are no additional frames. And, they do not make any other frames for it. Don't be fooled by the sales pitch; advertising. There are no other frames made. And, if you read the ads closely, they never admit to having any.First of all my Frame came with a model number different than what the packaging carton stated. And, then they give you two serial numbers; one on the outside of the Frame and one in the software (30+ digits long = very annoying). This is very confusing when trying to register the product or make a claim. Initially the set-up is cumbersome. The push buttons allow you to go out through the options, but if you want to back track, you can't. You must go all the way back to the main menu and start over. The internet picture sharing only allows you to store pictures in the cyberworld. They have a service that "pushes" the pictures to your frame, but their website has been down since Christmas 2008. I was told they were doing regular maintanence and it could be back up soon. It's been over one month and no progress. You figure it out. The internal memory is low. It does not do any automatic picture adjustments to make certain your pictures are not side ways. You will have to do all that yourself.Keep in mind, if you are sending pictures to the Frame via your computer, you will have to reset the Frame everytime you reboot your computer or Frame. Oh yeah, don't get too excited about sending pictures to it via your computer, unless you have the proper "media server" software installed. Basic File Sharing does not work. It took me almost one solid week to get this Frame to see my computers' files and the internets'; as some parts of their manual are vague and incorrect. Yes, it was a struggle.I have not even attempted the Sound. It looks confusing. The Picture quality is good when viewing it from slightly above the frame; like when it is resting on a countertop and you are standing in front of it. From any other angle, darkness will set in. In other words you can't see much if you are sitting down trying to admire your pictures.[...] Stay Tuned...

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8115 15" Premium Digital Picture Frame:

I bought this product because of it's spec, which looked very impressive. However, I was a quite disappointed when I found 3 dead pixels as soon as I turned it on. Since I brought this frame to Taiwan already, it was too much hassle if I were to do an exchange. So, I just accepted it. Afterall, this is for viewing from a distance.

The main purpose of buying this wiress less product was to stream the photos off my PC which contains over 10,000 photos. I thought as soon as I update my photos on my PC, it would show up on the frame. At least that was the idea.

After I selected my PC as the server, point the source to my folder where I store all the photos and selected "unrated" (which means all of my photos since I didn't rate them), the frame started to "retrieve photos", starting from 18, 36,... etc. And it's VERY SLOW.

For some reason, it stopped at about 2,000 the first time after about half and hour and started showing the images on the frame. Although it boasts 1024x768 resolution which was better than most of the 800x600, the image quality was quite poor for close viewing. It seemed that they probably have a not-so-fast processor or algorithm and had to reduce the image to a low resolution, then blow up to 1024x768. So, the resulting image is pixelized and jagged. Probably worse than the other 800x600 images. I was very disappointed at the quality. But again, for view from a distance, it's acceptable.

Now, after stopping at about 2,000 photos, I noticed that the slide show has much less than that number; maybe only a 100 or so. So, I repeat the set up process again. And again, it started retrieving from 18, 36,... The second time, it took maybe an hour or so, and stopped at about 5,000. I have no idea why that is. But again, the actual photos in the slide show is much less than that.

So, to make the story short, I ended up having to selected much less photos, import them into Media Player, and select Media Player as my source. Now it's working alright; however, it's far from what I had intended to do in the first place.

The worst part about this whole process was that I felt like I was a beta site for this product. I actually had more problems than I just described, but it's too long to put it here. I emailed all my problems to their tech support, but not only where they not very responsive, they didn't even try to help me resolve any of my questions.

Anyway, since I bought it already, I'll try to make the best out of it and enjoy it. The frame does have online update function, and I hope they'll soon realize these problems, fix the bugs and improve their software to make this product what they had intended to make in the first place.
