Comments about Sennheiser PC 161 Stereo Headset for Computer Games, VoIP and Skype:
I ordered two pairs of the PC161 for use on our home-based desktop computers for Skype and occasional musical programs. both my wife and i like the fit of the phones. they are very comfortable and seem well constructed for the price. We returned the phones because our computes do not have sound cards and the volume level supported by the on board sound function was inadequate. THESE ARE GREAT HEADSETS IF YOU HAVE A SOUND CARD. We replaced the headsets with Jabra GN2000 headsets because they are USB powered. The Jabra headsets are not as comfortable and do not have the dynamic range and musicality of the PC161, but better address our primary use which is Skype.

Comments about Sennheiser PC 161 Stereo Headset for Computer Games, VoIP and Skype:
Online learning/training implies sitting in front of the computer for long periods of time; this headset is not only comfortable to wear, but it also offers a very nice level of isolation (to tune out the surrounding environment). Sound comes in nice and clear and I've not received complaints about the quality of the sound coming out of my microphone. In fact this is my second headset: one for home, one for the office. The missing star? Well, this headseat doesn't ship with the USB adapter like my older headset did; the adapter comes in handy. Audio/Mic ports are hard to reach in some computers, however most of the times there's a USB port easily accessible.

With all those cheap headsets in the market it's hard to find one with a good microphone and good headphone. This is it.

Comments about Sennheiser PC 161 Stereo Headset for Computer Games, VoIP and Skype:
I purchased this headset to replace an old Logitech one that my dog decided to destroy. I have to say, this headset is better than any I have purchased before at this price point.
I use this mainly for gaming, voice chat, music, video and general computer applications with sound. The sound, treble and bass are crisp and clear, and the connections that go directly to your sound card insure you are getting the most out of your headset.
My old headset was USB, and sounded bad, and wasn't using my Creative sound card ... it was using its own stand alone drivers (which are horrible) to play the sound. I definitely prefer the headsets with the actual speaker and microphone inputs, so you can make use of any sound hardware you have.
I don't really have any complaints about this headset. It is comfy and adjustable, the mic is easily rotated out of the way if you are not using it. The sound is great, and the mic works well for all voice chat applications (in and out of game) I have done so far.
I would recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a good headset. Especially at this price point, they cannot be beat.
