The Lee P105 Wide Angle Lens Hood with 105mm Circular Polarizer is a unique innovation by Lee, the industry leader in square and rectangular filter systems.
This hood features 2 integrated slots that will hold 4" (100mm) filters of various thicknesses. However, the best feature of this hood is the integrated retaining ring for the Lee PLC-105 (105mm) polarizing filter. This polarizer can rotate independently of both the hood and other filters.
This hood will work well for traditional film shooters using wide lenses, and will equally satisfy today's digital market.
Circular Polarizer
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass, and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder, and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated, and its orientation to the sun.
Note! Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems, without a problem)

Comments about LEE Filters P105 Wide Angle Lens Hood with 105mm Circular Polarizer:
I'm using this with a Cambo WDS, which has always been a challenge to find a lens hood for. The idea that I can use a polarizer in addition to ND and other filters at the same time is a huge benefit. It seems well built and durable within reason. I did end up needing a 52mm extension to allow it to fit and still have room to engage the shutter on my 35xl, but otherwise I think it has been a great addition to my kit.
