I have had one of these cases for several years and I am constantly using it, accessing spare batteries several times a week and also taking it on overseas trips several times. The latches have held up fine and it works exactly as it did when I first got it.
Have just bought a few more speedlights so am purchasing a few more of these case, I just wish they were available in different colours to help with seperating fresh and used batteries.

Nicely built, but the fit for closing the lid with a full set of eight batteries is too tight. The first time I tried to open the case, the plastic latch tore open my index finger. The latches feel like they're going to break off sooner rather than later. But the base has a nice solid feel to it.

When I saw the review that it was too heavy I thought someone was being picky. It is way heavy adding more wieght than the batteries themselves. The rubber to hold the batteries should have been made of a light plastic it would have done the job.

This is a nice, compact, sturdy box to organize your AA batteries. I keep 8 Eneloops in here for easy access. My only problem with the case was getting it open for the first time--it was not intuitive to me, but you have to squeeze the knob that sticks out to open the case and I struggled briefly trying to figure that out. Otherwise, great unit.

I wanted something to store my rechargeable batteries in and this is the perfect case. No more rummaging around the draw to find the AA rechargeables...now they are all together in one place and ready to go when I need to take them with me. This case provides a perfect snug fit for AA batteries. Now I need to get a case for the AAA batteries. You can put AAA batteries in this case but they do move around a bit.

I buy batteries in large quantity for photo assignments and was looking for a great solution for carrying the AA batteries in my bag and this is it! This will be especially great when I move on to rechargeables.
Would liked to have seen just one clasp instead of two and the clasps look like they might wear out sooner rather than later.
