Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
The material use can be the best, and it is water proof. The space in side is very big. It can nicely fit on my shoulder and I feel confotable when I carry 7D with 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f1.2, and 50mm.there is just one thing that should improve is that the super flex partition with the bag cannot fit the lens if with hood.

Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
For years I lusted after the classic Billingham 550 camera bag. Finally, after a trip to Africa during which I had to divide my camera gear between two too-small bags, I ordered one with some trepidation. Would it live up to the hype?
It did. The craftsmanship is as near flawless as any piece of equipment I've ever used; it's simply beautiful. And it swallowed my entire EOS kit: two bodies, two flashes, 17-35mm, 24-105mm, 70-210 F4, 300mm F4, 50mm macro, and a 1.4 converter. I haven't even found a need for the removable end pockets yet, but I'm sure I will. With everything inside, I can still slip my 13-inch Mac Air in its sleeve on the side of the inserts.
Nitpicks: The exterior pocket flaps only snap, and gape enough at the corners that I could see a minor potential for losing small contents (dust protection is poor as well). I wish they had zippers in addition to the flaps. And I wince a bit picking up the full bag by its handle, with only the two leather straps and buckles holding it all together. The shoulder strap offers much more confidence. Small gripes in a superb product. I'm looking forward to a long relationship.

Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
This is a fantastic shoulder bag, I carry my D3x + 3 Zeiss lens and a Nikon 70-200 lens, 2 flash units and bits of other gear. Everything fits just right, I love this bag, I changed from a Temba shootout, large shoulder bag as there wasn't enough room for my gear but the Billinham fits nicely.

Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
Had one of these many years ago and sold it. Regretted it and bought one again! Can get heavy if you load it up, but it's a classic bag. Hard wearing.

Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
This bag encompasses everything that is good about photography. It is versatile, it suits all users, it has withstood the test of time and gets better with age. I can only imagine that at it's creation it was an instant classic and still remains one today. I was advised before I bought the bag to make sure it was the correct one as this would be an investment that would last well over 10 years. It is excellent quality, really well put together and the capacity is enormous. It is adaptable enough for the keen amateur or the professional kit man! Expensive but well worth the investment.

Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
The reason I got the biggest bag they made was to haul all my Camera Equipment around in the Car photographying my daughter's soccer games..I'm also taking this bag to Europe and using it to carry all my family's electronic Gadgets. Should serve the purpose well...There is no weak points in either the construction or the organizaion. I do wish they'd including some type of a diagram explaining how the interior pockets can be organized, as they leave that up to the imagination. All in all, a very heavy duty bag that should last longer than I do..
Comments about Billingham 550 Original Shoulder Bag:
As a woman photographer, I always deserved to carry a camera bag that looks good and features perfectly as a camera bag. I've tried so many bags, Billingham is the ultimate winner for me. I mean it DOES have some Cons. mostly because of its heavy weight and high price but having looks, functions, and quality, those two things were acceptable. Especially in terms of high price, it is totally worth it as I use Billlingham products more and more. I'm currently using 550, 335, and 206. It is a shame that my personal favorite material/color of Nytex/Stone has been discontinued!!! It is definitely beautiful color and tough fabric than the canvas..I've been exchanging emails with Billingham people and they said that they were experiencing difficulties getting Nytex materials and due to sales decrease on Nytex materials, they decided to discontinue on Nytex and introducing a new material which is Fibrenyte line. Besides, Billingham also announced that their Canvas Olive has been replaced by Fibrenyte Sage color. Anyhow, I hope Billingham keeps their great work on producing one of the best camera bags! Get one for yourself if you are serious about your photography???!!! Billingham bags are definitely worth it!
