With the Canon WP-DC13 waterproof case you can use your PowerShot SD1000 digital camera to take underwater photos at depths of up to 130' (40 m). Of course it is also ideal for taking worry-free pictures in the rain, at the beach, or on the ski slopes.
You can use your camera's internal flash for lighting purposes. Or, use the internal flash to trigger a slaved external strobe like those made by Fantasea, Sea & Sea, Ikelite or Sealife.

Extra weight not really required for this product, unit when loaded has slight positive bouyancy which if it ever gets loose from you is not a bad thing for it to go to the surface. Comes with wrist teather and ready to go out of the box. Definite recommend.
The only CON so far is that I cannot use it with my dive gloves on but that was to be expected.

I used this case casually in the pool and scuba diving in the ocean and fresh water. Case worked great, and the camera did a pretty good job of photos too.

An excellent case, especially if you already have the camera. I used it to take pictures and video while scuba diving in the Florida Keys. Good size and easy to transport as opposed to a full blown underwater camera, like a Nikonos.

For this price, you cannot go wrong. It is built even better then I expected. I've used it some ice cold water in canada and it worked great. It also works great just to have the camera in if your hanging out by the beach.
