The DK/50 Drum Microphone Kit from Earthworks is a three-piece microphone set that includes two QTC50 omnidirectional condenser microphones and an SR30 cardioid condenser microphone. The kit is designed to meet the demands of professional engineers who prefer minimal miking techniques to achieve detailed, yet spacious drum recordings.
For maximum results, the QTC50 omnidirectional microphones should be placed over the drum throne in an X/Y pattern, while the SR30 is used at a 45-degree angle on the kick drum. Also included in this set are three LevelPads and one KickPad for in-line control over frequency response and attenuation. Additional accessories include three foam windscreens and mounting clamps, stainless steel windscreen for the SR30 and a rugged road case.

The SR30 from Earthworks is a cardioid condenser microphone designed for precision pick up in crucial recording and sound reinforcement environments.
The condenser element provides a warm, transparent sonic character with an even 30 Hz to 30 kHz frequency response. Sonic timbre, frequency response and transparency remain uniform across the entire front of the capsule, providing maximum sound reproduction regardless of placement. The capsule boasts an SPL rating of 145 dB allowing exceptional reproduction of audio peaks without distortion and overload. The SR30 is powered via 48V phantom power and is suitable for instrument, vocal, and live concert recording.
The capsule features a cardioid pick up pattern providing high gain before feedback.

LP1530 In-Line Attenuator
The Earthworks LP1530 Level-Pad is an in-line attenuator that provides -15 and -30dB attenuation and minimizes distortion by providing added headroom. The Level-Pad is typically packaged with Earthworks drum microphone packages and provides much needed headroom to drum and percussion microphones. The Level-Pad features standard XLR-male to XLR-female connections for use with any condenser microphone.
KP1 KICKPAD - In-Line XLR Barrel
The Earthworks KickPad is an XLR in-line mic pad and EQ processor designed to enhance, and make repeatable and consistent, the performance of microphones designed or commonly used for the recording of the bass drum in a drum kit. This passive device, connected between the source microphone and the mixing console, provides a degree of transient control and boosts the frequency range commonly produced by that particular instrument.
