The Nite Ize 1 Watt L.E.D. Upgrade & IQ Switch Combo is a powerful and versatile upgrade for your "AA" Mini MagLite flashlight. Replacing the original bulb and tailcap on your flashlight with the LED assembly and IQ switch in this kit significantly enhances its performance and versatility.
The IQ switch provides 3 selectable power levels, and two strobe levels for you to select from. By lowering the power of the beam you can conserve battery power, and the strobe light can be used to signal for help in an emergency. This switch also provides instant illumination via the push-button switch, and a handy integral timer that cuts the power after 14.5 minutes.
The 50,000 hour Luxeon LED lamp will deliver a brilliant white-light focused spot or a smooth & bright flood beam on demand. These cost effective LEDs use less energy than incandescent bulbs, which translates to a longer run-time on every set of batteries.
Note! Replacing the original bulb with the Nite Ize 1 Watt L.E.D. upgrade or the original tailcap with the Nite Ize IQ switch will void the MAG Instrument limited lifetime warranty covering the AA Mini MagLite flashlight.

The combo installation is an easy one. (Make sure you remove the original bulb without its' mount, as per the included guide.) The switch allows to select 1 of a 3 LED brightnesses, or 1 of a 2 emergency pulses. The battery would stay much longer than before, brightnes of the LED is similar to the original bulb.

I have upgraded my other mini-mags with the LED lamps.
I saw this 1 watt LED and didn't believe how much brighter it is over their regular LED.
The IQ switch is nice. It has 3 brightness levels and two flashing levels.
It has a need red flashing light in the switch so you can find it.
