I would recommend this mic to anyone who wants a decent sounding mic at a great price. The usb plug in is a plus as well and will save you from having to buy an interface to plug into your computer. I found that there is not a lot of background sound in recording and I use the cheapest recording program: Audacity. If you are just looking for a great mic to add to a low cost recording studio- this is perfect!

I do a lot of video podcasting where I need to record sound-overs. I'm producing HD quality video, so I want audio to match and got tired of dealing with cheap unreliable microphones. This mic was very easy to set up, it's high quality construction,and gives me nice warm voice quality in my recordings. Since the mic-in port to a computer tends to generate lots of noise, the USB input is perfect for those recording to computers.

I bought this mike to record a grand piano via Apple's GarageBand. The results have been excellent: good sound level, good frequency response, good pickup pattern (hypercardioid, quiet pre-amp, and nice construction. All of this at a good price. I couldn't be more satisfied.

I use my mic to record music with my apple i-mac and i'm very happy with the audio quality. The only downside to this mic is that you cant run it through a mixer or regular recording equipment. I am happy with my purchase [...]Cheers Mat "Tennessee" Crider

I'm an amateur video/audio producer and really wanted to take my narration to the next level, so I got this with a pop filter. The sound is very clean, and it picks up even very subtle, distant sounds. My one gripe is that the bass seems lacking. I have a pretty deep voice, and that doesn't come through on my recordings very well. The bottom end is thin but perhaps that can be enhanced in an audio program.

Still, I didn't pay hundreds of dollars so this mic was worth it to me. Almost professional quality.

I am currently using this mic in garageband for podcasting and also to record my drum students. It works perfectly for both. I just wish it came with a better stand but for the price, you can't beat it!

I do amateur voice acting, singing, and music production. So, after my old microphone bit the dust, I wanted to upgrade to something much better.

After researching for months, I decided on the C01U. I love the USB. My PC recognized quickly and it was up and running in less than five minutes.

It is a little heavy, so that is why i bought a stand to go along with it. It can use the included stand, I just wanted something more sturdy/

I sound great on it! It makes me sound completely professional!

There are USB mics that have lots of features, like access to the preamp controls and mics that focus on rich sound reproduction. The C01UCW USB is of the latter type. I was able to plug and play quickly and produce outstanding-sounding audio for screencasts. There is little to be done pre-production because there are no controls to adjust. This is easily overcome in post-production using Audacity or any audio editor that permits manipulating the sound after-the-fact.

This mic is perfect for what it does -- produce rich sound that features few artifacts and gives you a full range of frequencies to adjust in post-production. If you are looking for pre- and production controls, look elsewhere for a mic that gives you access to the pre-amp.

This mic has a warm and full sound, much better than the cheaper mics I have used. Also, because it runs via USB, it sends digital sound directly to the computer, relieving the computer processor and soundcard of need to convert from analog to digital--this can also eliminate some whine or other noise that some sound cards can include in the audio stream. I use this on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, and have also used it on Windows Vista--both found the device fine and worked flawlessly. Excellent product.

It's a little heavy, but it's a great mic for podcasting. It sounds clear, professional and also comes with a desktop stand, so all you'll need is a pop filter.

I use this microphone in a High School Broadcasting application to do voice overs for videos. The quality upgrade from the cheesy on board mic is unbelievable. We plugged it in and the Mac found it and was able to use it at once. By installing the included software we were able to tweak the response even more. The only con for me is it is a little tall for the recording isolation box I built to record in. It is a 17" by 17" box with acoustic foam lining it to aid the recording.

Got this mic for podcasting at my work. The recording quality is top notch and is far better than built in mics or cheap plastic ones you can get. Took some playing with to get the setup just right, since depending on the angle you could sound a bit funny. But since getting that worked out it has been smooth sailing. Only negative thing I would say is that the recording level is a bit low and you have to be kinda close to get good levels. No biggy though and I would buy it again.
