The Photovision 6" One Shot Digital Target is for photographers on the go. The handy 6" mini has a neck lanyard with a simple to operate quick release clasp. The reflective silver fabric on the back side produces excellent results in a pinch.
The Neutral 3-Tone Panels of the One Shot Digital Target allows for custom white balancing, accurate metering and exposure monitoring through the camera's histogram function - all with a single shot.
This vastly improves setup time, and minimizes the need for post correction to your image files. You will drastically reduce your workflow at the back-end by getting it right in the beginning at the front-end.

For a long time I've just used the "auto" white balance setting or picked one of the choices available to me for my DSLR.
When I get back from shooting I seemed to spend a ton of time doing color correction. A friend suggested that I start using a custom white balance and purchasing a "target"
I happened to be in New York and could swing by the B&H store. I got the small (6 inch) target by Photo Vision and it was amazing to see what happened to my shots after that.
It's simple to use... just point, shoot, and set. You will need to know how to set a custom white balance with your camera but even that is pretty easy. When you get back home from the shoot I don't spend much time playing with the color balance which saves a ton of time.
The target I got came with a DVD from the creator of the card and it was really useful but a bit long winded.
The reverse side of the small target is a reflector card which you might be able to use to bounce some light... but in my opinion is pretty useless. That's not a big deal however since if you need a reflector card you wouldn't be buying this size target anyway.

I needed a small target for my macro lense to get accurate white balance. I like the PhotoVision targets because they collapse to almost nothing for putting away. I had assumed this one would as well, but it is rigid. It can still fit in my camera bag, but it is not as tidy as I had hoped. The fact that it is rigid limits where I can stuff it. Did come with a lanyard, but no protective case.
I think I had expectations based on the larger targets, so I am disappointed. If I had known what I describe here, I may have been fine with it.

I used a friends and decided I had to have my own. This was delivered today and I immediately took it out and did about 30 custom white balances with it and compared it wit an equal number of auto white balances. I can definitely see a difference. I think this is going to dramatically cut post production time. I am thoroughly pleased and look forward to using it even more.

I recently came to NYC for an event and brought with me my 6" One Shot Digital Target (instead of my 24" target). I liked the conveniece of this smaller target as it fit into the front pocket of my camera bag so easily. My exposures and white balance were perfect! What a time saver in post computer work. This little target hangs around your neck on a lanyard and conveniently clips off in a second........I shot over 1000 pics in 2 days , so the 6" One Shot Target was ideal to use.

Comments about Photovision 6" Mini One Shot Digital Target:
If you simply want a target you want to use quickly where ever this would be good. Some people buy the really big ones and spend so much money while this is just perfect if you know how to properly use this tool. My instructor in class uses this size and he's a pro for many years. Just up to you if you want to use a large or this simple small size one. The reflector on the back is pointless, but could be used for small detail I guess.

I love this target! My white balance comes out perfect and I never have to adjust it in post-processing. It has saved me so much time. Especially since I'm a newborn photographer and newborn skin can be quite finicky.
I do wish it was collapsable/foldable though.

Great size for quick adjustments in the field. Will be the larger target soon though. Easy to use to adjust exposure quickly and to set the proper white balance since my camera seems to be off just a bit on the presets. The instructional DVD was great and easy to understand and a great help.

Looking to make your workflow easier? I purchased this product and do not regret it one bit. The size is perfect and the time it saves in Adobe Lightroom is irreplacable. I suggest that anyone working in the photography realm invest in yourself and purchase this product. Trust me...your assistant will like the size of this also.

Easy to use - portable and saves a lot of time post production. I have used the grey cards/ color checker cards and so far I have found this to be the easiest and most accurate to use. The lanyard is great so I can keep it in easy reach at all times when my lighting or location settings change.

Comments about Photovision 6" Mini One Shot Digital Target:
It's a very effective tool for setting your WB and exposure.
As opposed to the larger sizes the mini target is solid and hard with cardboard inside. It doesn't fold! It uses as much space as the next size up, the 14 in. When collapsed the 14in is almost the same size and just as portable.
I would skip this size. However, the product does perform as advertised and it's an invaluable tool.

So easy... so fast. No more worries about white balance. And the DVD is super easy to follow, although if you shoot Nikon, it might not be as he caters to Canon, but I am assuming that for these purposes, it's not much of an issue. I got the smallest one.

I picked up the 6" to have as a quick white balance and exposure target. It works great and I use it all the time with weddings and portrait work. It comes with a DVD for those who need some instruction on how to use it. I also use the larger sizes and they are nice since they double as a reflector.

A must to determine the appropiate white balance. With the grey target in the photo it is very easy in Photoshop or Lightroom to identify what the WB is and to adjust the photos accordingly.
