With exceptional surround sound reproduction and high-definition DVD playback, the Sony DAV-IS10 450W 5.1-Channel Integrated Home Theater Micro System will take your home theater experience to new heights. The DAV-IS10 is an AM/FM (50W/channel) A/V receiver with a built-in progressive-scan DVD/CD player capable of 720p/1080i video up-scaling for HDTV playback capability. Its unobtrusive design features 5-micro satellite speakers capable of reproducing high-quality audio that rival full size speakers. The DAV-IS10 also includes a powerful 2-Way (200W) subwoofer that will make your movies come to life.
In addition, the DAV-IS10 features an HDMI output, Digital Cinema Auto Calibration, BRAVIA Theater Sync technology to control select HDMI devices, Digital Media Port (DMP) for connectivity to your favorite digital music player (i.e. iPod), and an iPod docking station. - The DAV-IS10 is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.
- BRAVIA Home Theater Sync
- Go beyond simple audio and video transmission with the "one-touch play" remote control feature that allows you to easily manage select BRAVIA televisions and Sony HDMI audio and video components with the included remote control.
- Digital Media Port (DMP)
- Integrate a wide variety of music with your home theater system. Add a DMP accessory (sold separately) to play music from a PC client device, Bluetooth receiver, or from a select Network Walkman or your iPod.

Of all the home theater systems I have owned, I am most impressed with this one. The speakers are very small, perfect for smaller rooms. But the sound is as good as much more expensive and larger systems.
My only complaint is that it only has 1 optical input.

I like the sound system because of the great sound, DVD upconverter DVD player and HDMI feature. All in all if you buy the Bravia LCD TV, you must buy this too. It also looks cool so my wife likes it
