If you are going to upgrade your home theater system, this is where to start! I am using this center channel with a new Sony 7.1 receiver that I purchased. It is replacing the much smaller speakers that came with a Sony Dream System all-in-one DVD receiver that I've had for years. The sound difference is immediately noticeable, and significantly better.

The only problem with this speaker is its size. This isn't something that you can just set in front of your TV if you are using the stock TV pedestal. I ended up purchasing a new TV stand with this speaker's dimensions as the driving factor. I was planning on a new stand anyways, but I didn't think the speaker would have so much influence over the purchase. I have it placed in the top center shelf... it takes up nearly as much room as my receiver! But the sound improvement is worth it.

If you have the room (measure, measure, measure!), I definitely recommend it. You can't beat the price for this sound and quality, and this something that I haven't been able to say about Sony for a long time.

I use this as a center channel speaker in my 5.1 surround system, and it sounds great. Probably the best sound quality of any speaker in its price range.

This is a great speaker at a great price. It could also be purchased in a pair and serve as a horizontal bookshelf speaker (with its two woofers, it delivers better sound than many bookshelf speakers).

This speaker is center speaker for the main sound set up in my living room. The price was nice and the sound and the look are great. I haven't noticed anything bad about it. I've heard there's not enough bass with it but I've not noticed that myself

I have the whole Sony lineup from speakers to my reciever, I needed a center to finish my ht and so I went out to buy a Polk center cause I just could not wait to get a new one. Well it was a big mistake thinking that a more expensive center would sound better and blend with my other Sony speakers. I decided to return the Polk and order this one from B&H the same day. [...] If you have Sony fronts this center blends perfectly with them. I always thought it was a myth that you must have your front soundstage all matched, well its true and has outperformed the Polk CSR center I returned. It does not reach low in the bass output, but its a center. All in all a great buy and sounds great with other Sony speakers.

This Center Channel Speaker was combined with a Sony S-AW3000 and two Sony SS-B1000 Bookshelf speakers. I already had two Older RCA 40-5037 Bookshelf Speakers but they were in excellent condition. These speakers were all attached to a Yamaha Receiver RX-V467. The sound at all frequencies was outstanding. The sub woofer was easily installed and set up. I really enjoyed the sounds coming from this speaker. The clarity was outstanding. I am at lost for words. I did not know sounds from a movie were as clear as they were until I installed this speaker. This is an outstanding product and a tribute to the engineers at Sony. Thank you Sony.

Great sounding center channel speaker. This replaced a small Sony front speaker and the sound is so much better with this speaker. I can hear dialog clearly.

this center channel speaker is bigger than what I was looking to find to complete my surround set up but after hooking it up, I was glad it was
not smaller. It is well designed and adds just enough sound character
to satisfy my ears. It improved dialogue coherence as it should.
