Watch movies in crystal clear video at 1080p with 24p True Cinema Output just like the director intended. Connect your other BRAVIA components via HDMI and control them with one remote, utilizing BRAVIA Theatre Sync. The BDP-S300 Blu-ray Disk Player is also compatible with standard DVDs and will upscale them to 1080p.

• Blu-ray Technology: The format provides five times larger capacity than DVDs, with unprecedented storage capacity of 25 GB (single-layer) and 50 GB (dual-layer). Blu-ray Disc players will be fully backward compatible with current DVD formats, delivering entertainment content in full high-definition (HD) quality, under a secure environment made possible through advanced copyright protection technology.

• Blu-ray Disc: Provides picture quality beyond anything else available, with full capability 1080p/24 resolution in Blu-ray and Up to 40Mbps bit encoding - 5X current DVD. The theater quality uncompressed audio supports 8 channels of Linear PCM, Up to 32 streams of audio, interactive capability, seamless menus, integrated games, hi-def bonus and educational features.

• Full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema Output: Connect this unit to a TV equipped for 24p and watch movies just like they were shot at 24fps for a faithful cinematic reproduction.

• Versatility: This Blu-Ray player reads BD-ROM, DVD, DVD AVCHD, DVD+R/W, DVD-R/RW, CD while handling MPEG2/MPEG4-AVC-VC1 and even JPEG and MP3 files burned on to DVDs.

• Supports Uncompressed Mult-Channel Linear PCM: When attached to a compatible AV amplifier via HDMI, up to 8 channels of Linear PCM surround sound. 5.1Ch Output is available for non-compatible units via the Digital Out.

• HDMI Connectivity: The BDP-S300 has HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connectivity allowing output of digital audio and video signal in one cable without degradation
