Equipped with a specially designed 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens, it is light and compact, making it easy to carry anywhere. The camera's design also incorporates fewer potentially confusing controls and other distractions, allowing anyone to take breathtaking pictures while eliminating the need to "learn" photography.

This is my first SLR camera that I have owned. I am justgetting into photography and this camera has been a greatway to learn. It is easy to use but still advanced enough tobe able to understand the many facets of taking digitalphotographs. The 18-55mm lens is another good thing to startwith. It is a basic lens and especially good for close upsand portraits. The addition of the two 1 GB SD cards makesit a great value.

Problems Encountered: The only problems I have encountered so far is that yournose may touch the LCD screen or menu buttons when shooting.Also features such as flash and white balance can only beaccessed through the menu. THESE ARE ONLY MINOR INCONVENIENCES THOUGH
