Two-way radios are powerful walkie-talkies that predominately operate on two frequency bands: Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS.) This system makes it possible to put 2-way radios in the hands of the general public without a steep price tag.
The Motorola T9500XLR Talkabout Two-Way Radio has a 25 mile range, and also receives 11 NOAA weather channels, offering coverage of all government-operated NOAA weather broadcasts, plus NOAA All Hazard Alert Radio.
Ten audible call tones grab the attention of other users before you start speaking; talk-confirmation tone signals you've finished talking. Also, the T9500XLR's keypad lock prevents your personalized settings from being inadvertently changed. This radio set comes with an interchangeable yellow or black faceplate.
