The Gary Fong Lightsphere II Inverted Dome Flash Diffusion Pro Combo System includes the C3 and P3 Lightsphere IIs with the standard inverted domes, plus the additional ChromeDome and AmberDomes.
The Lightsphere is a large, round, soft and flexible diffuser that slips over the front of compatible flash units. The inside of the Lightsphere is completely textured to make the light dispersion even more "soft" than it would be otherwise. And because of this design, it is possible to make the material more translucent, keeping the unit from losing a lot of light while actually increasing the diffusion and softness of light.
An opaque color has been added to the inside of the Cloud version, and this "frosted" version creates an even softer effect, which makes it ideal for close-ups, portraits, and event photography.
- Especially ideal for vertical flash shots where the flash coverage is still similar to horizontal shots, due to the large rounded shape of the diffuser. Minimizes the need for a flash-flip bracket.
- The ChromeDome seriously increases the light output, while the AmberDome provides a pleasant warming effect. The included standard inverted dome allows you to softly diffuse direct light with a large, soft source without creating flare on the front of your lens.

I've had some time to mess around with the cloud dome and amber top and have been quite pleased with the results. I was expecting [...] a DVD with the kit with documentation, etc... No such luck. While the domes and lids are all very lightweight and appear to be pretty rugged (think Tupperware)... they do take a chunk of space in your bag!

recently used for wedding photos with great results. It was bulky and didn't fit too well in my camera bag. The dvd that it came with had helpful tips. Overall, I am happy with the product and would recommend to others.

Great flash diffusion system. The light is very soft and natural, even outside. The DVD has a lot of examples on how to use it.

I am a relatively armature photographer and was a secondary photographer for a wedding this month. I used a Canon XTi with the 430EX Speedlight and the Lightshere II. The light from the Lightsphere II worked great, giving worm even light for every shot. It did not seem to matter if it was inside the dark stone church, in the sun or even using the sunset as backlight.
To make sure it dose not fall off the Canon 430EX, you need to push it on past the plastic lip (ledge) as Gary Fong’s web site recommends. Overall this is a fantastic product.

Easy to use, but does take some effort to keep fixed to flash. Did not watch the DVD. Very easy to change out.
