I owned this stand from 2007 through 2009 and had to sell it because of moving.
Moving budget was limited (and I had a lot of other stuff) and otherwise I would keep the original stand (it may feel heavy but it's really stable and folds very compact. I believe it's a great choice for musicians on the go anyway.)
Used it mostly in the lowest position while sitting on the bench/chair.
It serves really good on hardwood, laminated, carpeted and even tiled floors.
Rubber legs' tips add to stability.
I used it with 2 digital pianos (Casio Privia PX-100 and Yamaha P-95) - the stand works equally well for those full-size 88-key pianos.
I love this stand and after last move bought it again.
Only one issue I got now (with lower chairs I have today) is even in the lowest stand position the keys of Yamaha are still a bit high for me (but the piano itself is thicker than Casio so this may be the reason).
And don't forget to spread the stand's legs as wide as possible - this is the most stable position. Otherwise there is a chance for the legs to fold if the stand is pushed sideways.

Does what it promises
Perfect for my yamaha p80, however I don't think I would put a Rhodes on it.

Comments about On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand:
I have a Standtastic tiered stand, an On-Stage X-frame tiered stand and this On-Stage KS7150 platform style stand. I use the Standtastic to hold the keyboards (Motif 88-key and Nord 73-key) and the KS7150 to hold the effects rack. (The On-Stage X-frame is used as a "traveler" when I have to move stuff myself.)
The KS7150 is very sturdy. I was worried about it being too flimsy, but not at all. It is holding up a fully-loaded 14-space effects rack without any sway. It has the two most important adjustments: vertical and horizonal (I don't care about the depth). It will go high enough so you can stand while you play (I'm 6'5") and lower than I will ever use.
I'm using it to hold a 19" rack, but I'm sure it will go wide enough for 88-keys. For DJs, it doesn't condense to 19 inches, so you will need a little extra space. I think the minimum is 34" for the surface, but the legs extend horizonally a little past the surface.
I don't move it, but it is fairly light and something that I could move myself.
Bottom line: it is functional, portable, and (unlike X-stands) your legs will fit underneath if you are sitting.

Comments about On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand:
hello, I have a Nord C1, a Nord Pedals 27 and a Nord Lead 2X, the problem was to find a proper solution, I tried suggestions from online forums and nothing worked, I bought a Keyboard Stand that I still can't use, I did some research and found that Onstage had what I was looking for, the problem was that I could not find this solution at any of the "local" music stores, I found it at B&H Photo.
So now I have a sturdy keyboard stand that fits my Nord C1 organ, The PK27 (pedals) fits right below comfortably and my Nord 2X Lead, fits on the universal mountable stand that fits right on to he KS7150.
Yay!!!!!
My prayers have been answered, hey did I mentioned that I spent way under $100.00 to fix this big problem I had?
Give it a try, it makes sense, and I'm glad that B&H Photo helped me to make this all possible.

Comments about On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand:
I've been using the cross bar stand since I got my keyboard and playing the piano I would always bump my knees or have to sit in a very interesting position. My legs now fit comfortably under the keyboard and I can play for longer periods of time.
It isn't perfect, it is a bit unstable but simply putting it up against a wall fixes that.

Comments about On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand:
I purchased this stand for my daughter to replace an X stand that she had for her 88-key Casio Privia keyboard. The stand she had before was wobbily, and not sturdy. Her keyboard is located in a room with carpeting, which seemed to make the X stand even more unstable. The platform keyboard stand is solid, stable, and sturdy (and kind of heavy- so no worries on tipping over!). She has room for her legs underneath and the height adjustments are perfect. The stand also came with grip pad stickers that could be attached to the top of the stand to make the keyboard even more secure. It was quick and easy to get it set up and put to use. The legs do kick out a bit more, and take up slightly more space than the previous stand, but that isn't a big drawback for us. I feel like this stand will last a long time to come, which makes it worth even more than the very reasonable price I purchased it for.

I got this stand for use with a nord electro 3 and couldn't be happier. Having 4 legs means I can put my sustain and swell pedals under the board where they belong without the stand getting in the way. Also, this stand works well on uneven surfaces.
All this is why I got this stand. What I didn't expect was that it folds down flat and much smaller than other stand types, which allows me to put it into a gig bag. Now, I can roll to the gig with two gigbags instead of having to carry an unwieldy stand. I can go on my bike.
Nice!

Comments about On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand:
Bought this to hold my Studiologic hammer action (ie. heavy) 88 key controller. Luckily, the rubber feet of the keyboard fit nicely into the slots of the stand. This, and the included thin rubber adhesive pads added to stability.
Quality is just so-so, due to the footing arrangement (bolts which are capped off with rubber feet) but with some tweaking it ought to work out well for most applications.
Adjustable from width perspective and allows for an optional 2nd tier which is handy.
The price certainly is right, I just wish that it was a bit more sturdy. If you are using this at home, by all means, pick it up. Once set up, you'll be in good shape. If intending to use it on the road or for gigs, you might want to think twice and get something heavier.
