This Sto-Fen Omni Bounce Set fits on the Canon 430EX and 430EX II flash unit, and includes two color-toned diffusers. The Gold Omni Bounce provides warmth to the scene, making for spectacular fill flash. The Green Omni Bounce is used to correct for fluorescent lighting in conjunction with an FLD or 30M filter on the camera lens.
Omni Bounce flash diffusers have gained a reputation for ease of use, compactness and effective flash control in many different conditions. They're designed to be used by bouncing light off of the ceiling, but can also be used as an intermediate surface with direct flash. They simply snap onto the front of the flash and are easily removed.
Omni Bounces decrease the effective range of the flash, but will not otherwise affect the performance of the TTL system - making them simple to use as long as you are aware of the decreased range. All flash diffusers decrease the effective guide number, but many do this in addition to requiring flash exposure compensation.

Inexpensive and plastic. Does make a change in adding softer tone or warmth. For the $$ it's worth a try, what have you got to loose??? Just a little something to add to your bag of tricks.

Comments about Sto-Fen OC-EWSET Gold & Green Omni-Bounce Set:
I am a wedding photographer and always looking to make my reception photos look less flashy. During nighttime receptions, I stick the gold on my strobe, set the WB to 3500K and turn the flash power down -2/3 stops and it perfectly compliments working with available light, but still being able to get great exposure on peoples faces.
As for the green Sto-fen, I have never used it, but seeing how the set of two was just a quarter more than just the gold on it's own, I figured it might as well be in my trunk with the rest of my lighting gear.

Comments about Sto-Fen OC-EWSET Gold & Green Omni-Bounce Set:
Many of the pictures I take are indoors under tungsten lighting. The gold Sto-Fen Omni-Bouce does a great job of balancing the flash's cool light with the ambient light avoiding odd color differences between your subject and the background. In addition, it spreads a good deal of light around the subject brightening the ambient light instead of directing all of the flash at your subject. I have not used the green Omni-Bounce yet but suspect it will be just as useful under the right fluorescent lighting.

It's hard to fault a piece of plastic that slides over another piece of plastic and just sits there. It works fine, but don't think about how much it must have cost to manufacture.

Comments about Sto-Fen OC-EWSET Gold & Green Omni-Bounce Set:
I bought this set as at the time, it was only a few dollars more than the Gold Omni-Bounce by itself. I don't really ever see myself using the Green Omni-Bounce, but I'm sure a time will come when I need it and will kick myself for not getting it. Small, portable and easy to fit and use. Just slip it onto your speedlite. The Gold Omni-Bounce produces BEAUTIFUL results, warming the skin tones for indoor and outdoor photography. If you take portraits, these are a must have.

The colors are good for matching a existing light source color or casting color on our subject. They slide on easily and do not fall off.
