Comments about 74mm Multi-coated (MC) Protector Filter for Sony DSC-H7 and H9 Models:
I use this filter on my Sony DSC-H9. I wanted a lens protector to keep dust and damage away from lens. The insallation of the lens has to go on the Hood because the telephoto lens has to extend behind the 74 mm protector lens which is mounted to the hood and not directly in front of the Camera lens.It works well but you have to keep the lens hood in place in order for the 74mm to do the job.

Comments about 74mm Multi-coated (MC) Protector Filter for Sony DSC-H7 and H9 Models:
First, let me say that my (above) rating doesn't reflect on the quality of this filter. I have no doubt that the filter is well-made. My problem has been with the adaptor ring needed to attach the filter. It's subject to cross-threading, is very cumbersome to deal with in the field and interferes with the auto-focus lens feature. My decision to by a Sony DSC-H50 camera, in retrospect, would have been greatly influenced, had I thought this feature through.
