The Neuros OSD offers the ability to digitally store and easily access your VHS tapes, home videos and DVDs. It connects to your TV or home theater system and allows you to archive all of your DVD and video content. Plug the Neuros OSD into your TV, connect your DVD Player or VCR, and hit play. Your movie will be safely and legally transferred into a digital library. It works with home movies too. Just plug your video camera into the OSD, push play, and your memories are digitized.
With the Neuros OSD, you can store hundreds of hours of video in one location (like an external hard drive), get rid of those bulky cases, put an end to DVD damage, and instantly access any of your videos with the push of a button on a remote. You can even transfer your video content to a portable device (video iPod, PSP, mobile phone, etc.) to watch on the go, or email your home movies to friends and family.

Comments about Neuros OSD Multimedia Hub:
The Neuros OSD does perform as advertised. I did not find the unit to be "buggy". I'm sure the unit records video adequate for smaller portable devices however there is noticeable quality loss when playing back on a TV. Even in the highest quality record setting I can see loss even if the source material is an old VHS tape.
I'm hoping for a firmware upgrade that will offer a greater quality recording setting.

Comments about Neuros OSD Multimedia Hub:
I used the OSD to archive VHS tapes that were collected before DVDs became mainstream. Now I've got the VHS collections on an external hard drive.
It's a quick connection between the source player and the TV. Works just like a VCR would when you record playback from your TV or from a Video In source.
Only gripe I have is that it doesn't play all video files like WMV and AVI. Or at least I haven't found a way to do this yet. It'll record into an MPG file and will play back any MPG file.

Comments about Neuros OSD Multimedia Hub:
I would call this product a "prototype", not yet ready for consumers. Very buggy. non-intuitive, and fails to play some AVI files.Recording is hit or miss. Sometimes fails.

Comments about Neuros OSD Multimedia Hub:
This little device is very easy to use. The OSD is user intuitive and the playback of ANY recorded media is great (in my opinion, of course). Firmware is freely available on the company's site. Plus, even the packaging is cool. Open source for the win!

Comments about Neuros OSD Multimedia Hub:
I am very satisfied with the OSD product so far. It took awhile to figure out the file structure for the PSP, but since then, it is very easy to record DVD's or TV (from a Directv DVR). I've been able to record to memory stick pro (for Sony PSP), Micro SD (for Samsung smartphone), and directly to PSP using USB port. I've had some trouble recording for iphone/ipod. I think it's mainly due to memory formatting.
PROS - It works! Interface is good. Presets for different formats work great.
CONS - It's a little glitchy. Sometimes it freezes and I have to do hard reset. Filenaming is tedious because have to scroll to letter and select on by one. Longer cable would be nice. I had to buy a longer cable so I could keep the OSD next to my other components (DVD, DVR).

This is the best product I have purchased in a while.. Very easy to set up and use. I just wish a longer cable was included.
