The Celestron 1500x Professional Biological Microscope is a heavy duty professional level biological microscope with an extra large mechanical stage which allows ample work space. It has knobs that control both axes for easy centering of specimen slides. The microscope also includes two sets of wide angle eyepieces along with four objective lenses, allowing for eight different powers. The rotating binocular head and coaxial focus with coarse and fine focus knobs makes the microscope easy to use and versatile making it well suited for a broad range of biological research and educational applications.

This scope has it where it counts. With an Abbe condenser, mechanical stage, and iris aperture adjustment, it suits my needs perfectly as a biology hobbyist. Since plan optics weren't in my budget, this was the best bet because I can upgrade to better optics at a later point in time.
The illumination is great for this scope. Magnified slides look incredibly clear, all the way up to 1500x magnification.
