I've been using the light kit for school and it does the job I need it to, though it took a couple tries to get all the parts I needed. The bulbs are very delicate though and I already need to replace one. Other than that it's a great kit and there's not much better for the little cost I paid to get it.

This kit is well constructed using quality materials. The stands are excellent as is the light housings which you have to put together. Uses standard 500W and 250W bulbs (included) which get awfully hot real fast but casts some of the best light. For the price, it's a great starter kit for use in a small studio.

You need to realize that though this kit comes with a bag, after assembly of the heads portability is lost. You would need to disassemble everything if you want to get it all back into the bag so don't assume this to be a portable rig.

I bought this kit intending to take it from location to location with relative ease. Instead, I will have to add to or modify this kit to accomplish that ability. Add a bag for the light heads - the two mains are large, everything else will fit into the standard bag. Also, you will need to add a light with barndoors if you want to control distribution. This kit has broad light dispersion so it will light up a room nicely.

No instructions come with this so know what you're doing and its not difficult to figure out.

I needed a light kit for two days of shooting interviews. An Arri rental would have run me about $200; this kit with bulbs ran about the same. It's a very flimsy kit BUT if you use it for at least two days it's paid for itself. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

This is a very affordable kit that has everything to get you started with shooting photos with continuous lighting. The color value is excellent, the stands and the reflectors don't have the cheap feeling to them. Coming from a DIY makeshift product photography setup it does make a lot of difference and takes the guesswork out of the equation. I'm not sure if I'll use the umbrellas much because they require a lot of clearance and the fragile nature of the bulbs make it very impractical to move them around. Overall, great value and based on this product I'll definitely look into Impact's other offerings.

This kit came as part of an Impact light kit.

I use these for video interviews. The umbrellas are nice and wide, and lightweight. Distribute light very nicely, and seem to be well built.

The bulbs are average incadescent bulbs. Nice and bright, and beaultiful to work with. One burnt out within 20 minutes, and the other 2 have been working well over 20 hours so far. Thats just the nature of these light bulbs, so DEFINITELY ORDER PLENTY OF BACKUP BULBS!

Great for reflection or shooting right through to soften light. So far, very sturdy and nice and wide.

I use this product for lighting a small interview set, and also some still photography. I like the power of the kit, and i also like the fact that it is easy to assemble.

I bought the kit to take pictures of my new baby. I love the quality of this kit. It is extremely easy to assemble and the bag that comes with it is great. There is nothing I don't like about this kit.

I tripped over the cord during a shoot, the umbrrella fell and the bulb broke, the metal supports arms bent but I was still able to use the Umbrella. The cord was shipped and came to me broken, the switch did not work but I was sent a replacement within a few days. Great service!

This is no jungle gym, but the price is right. If you are constantly setting up and tearing down this may not be for you, but if you need it occasionally or leave it set up most of the time it will be fine. The contruction is a little weak, but with care it should last. It is a good starter set.

This was part of a Mini-Light kit. It is a great add-on to such a kit as it obviously provides increased options for lighting over just the basic floodlight kit.
