The Benro A-056n6 Compact Aluminum 2-Section Tripod Legs is a lightweight compact tripod made of extruded 6000 series aluminum with a wall thickness of 1.5mm. It comes fully featured and is precisely machined to offer the quality and strength demanded by professional photographers. Measuring only 13" when folded, this compact camera support will fit inside a backpack or system bag.
Benro A-series tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, a reversible center column, a foam leg grip, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips, reversible 1/4-20 to 3/8" mounting threads, a bubble level, and mounting set screws.
- Improved dust- and rubber-resistant leg lock design prevents dust or moisture from entering the interior of the leg twist-locks.
- Top-leg diameter of 20mm
- Three leg-angle settings (24,55 & 80°).
- The three set screws in the camera platform can be used to permanently secure the head to the tripod, providing additional security.
- Rubber leg tips provide a secure grip both indoors and outdoors.

This operates just like my regular size Gitzo, but is really small--for that shoot where you suddenly end up on a table or jammed in a corner sitting on top of a refrigerator, or very useful when you need to bungee cord your tripod to a railing or some other weird fixture.

I purchased this tripod for use while packing through the National Park System. It has proved itself time and again. Although it is compact is size it is sturdy enough to hold a full sized digital slr with a medium lens.

Although, this is a compact tripod with limited height the quality rivals my Manfrotto tripod which cost four to five times the price. This tripod is very light weight and yet still very strong. In my research I couldn't find a stronger lightweight tripod. I bought it to take backpacking through Southeast Asia. It has worked very well. It is able to support my Canon 20D with a battery pack and a heavy wide angle lens. It comes with a heavy-duty soft case that makes traveling easy. I would definitely buy this item again!!
