The Interfit Pro-Lite 9 is a cool-running, nine-bulb fluorescent flood light. It has a higher spec than the Cool-Lite and all of the benefits that this type of lighting produces. It produces an even light source and removes specular highlights on reflective surfaces when used with a pop-up light tent.
Fluorescent continuous lighting is an economical alternative to studio lighting with a daylight balanced color temperature between 5000 and 5200°K. This 216 watt fluorescent fixture puts out about as much light as a 900 watt tungsten fixture.
Note:Compact fluorescent bulbs can take up to 5 minutes to reach full brightness.

Comments about Interfit Pro-Lite 9 Fluorescent Fixture - 216 Watts (120VAC):
This is the best bulb light I have found so far, you really need all
the bulbs to get any light, like old strobe power.

Comments about Interfit Pro-Lite 9 Fluorescent Fixture - 216 Watts (120VAC):
I purchased this light when the alternatives I was considering were not available. I wish I had waited. What is good about the light is it provides a fair amount of soft "daylight" for a cheap price.
What is wrong: distinct green spike -- you will want to place 1/4 minus-green on the front (the meter calls for 1/2 minus green, but that's too strong); the problem is, there's no way to clip on the gel without blocking air circulation, and quickly grilling the bulbs, which do get hot. My solution was to buy a set of Lowel 4-way clip on barndoors, bend the plats so you can clip the doors to the out ring of the light. This is a somewhat flimsy solution, but it works.
Note that the picture does not show a round plastic diffuser that fits over the center of the unit, diffusing the front part of the 9 individual lights. As a result, there is a drop-off of light intensity in the middle.
In general, a rectangular shape will be of more practical use. However, as a broad, soft daylight fill, this unit can work. Transportation is an issue as there is no quick or convenient way to break it down. If you use it in a studio, or can transport it completely assembled, you should find some use for it.
