The Smart-UPS 3000VA USB & Serial 120V UPS from APC provides power protection and battery backup for home and office computer systems. The UPS provides surge protection and battery backup for both connected devices. It yields an average output power capacity of 3000 VA at 2700W and the battery lasts up to 13.6 minutes at half-load capacity.
The UPS features RS-232 serial as well as USB communication. It is housed in a desktop tower form factor for flexible installation. APC offers guaranteed protection from surges and spikes with their lifetime $150,000 Equipment Protection Policy. These features make the Smart-UPS an excellent choice to provide power and battery backup for your equipment.
- Battery Backup
- The user-replaceable battery provides 13.6 minutes of backup at half-load and 5.5 minutes of backup at full-load. This gives you enough time to safely shut down your computer in the event of a power outage.
- Audible Alarms
- The UPS features an audible alarm that lets you know when there is a problem with your power. This helps to make you aware of a power outage or surge.
- Communication Ports
- The UPS features integrated RS-232 serial and USB ports that allow you to connect it to your computer for communication. This allows the computer to automatically turn itself off in the event of a power outage.
