Comments about Aqua Tech SS-600 Sport Shield Rain Cover (Camouflage):
this sport shield was being used on 2 different camera bodies (canon markiv and 5dmii) (yes, i did buy the respective eye pieces, at [$] per), with 400 and 600 mm lengths. imagine being on a boat 500 miles from the north pole, temp a balmy 40f so not a factor in the cracking, and having the rear window poly crack the first time out in the rain. it never came out again - and boy did i need it. also, almost beside the point - make sure you have about an extra half hour to suit up your camera because it's that complex to put on. when i'm shooting in weather, wildlife arrives like weather - when it does - and being ready means having time and simplicity. this has neither. save your money and point yourself toward another product.

I am a wildlife photographer and bought this cover for my trip to Yellowstone. However when I received the cover I did not realize that I needed the eye piece also. So I got online and ordered it. Luckily it got here in time for my trip. THIS COVER WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THE EYE PIECE. IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH THE COVER. I was so glad that I ordered this product. I did not miss the big bull moose because it was raining. I also was out there when the rain turned to snow. I was able to stay and photograph the Buffalo and Elk in the snow. There wasn't any leaking and is so easy to put on and take off. Allot of people asked me about the cover, I told them how much I liked it and suggested they purchase it. Thank you Aquatech for making a great product.

I used this in Alaska, where the guide called my 400mm f2.8 "the big Ma-mu". It works. It secures to the lens with an adjustable neoprene skirt that is very effective. Personally, I don't like the integral elastic located at the lens mount. I'm sure this is to keep the windows in body visible. Vertically oriented shots will still be dry, although, on a D3 you eill not be able to reach the vertical shutter release - As the body must be turned to the right to prevent water coming in through the hand hole.
