The Aqua Tech CEP-1 Eyepiece is an eyepiece made to fit certain Canon cameras when used with a Sport Shield rain cover. It holds the cover to the camera and maintains waterproofing.

I had lost the original eye piece that came with my Aqua Tech camera rain cover and was to attend an event where I knew it would be pouring rain. After attaching and using this on the back of my camera, I have decided to just leave it on full time because it is comfortable putting my eye to it, and I'll always be ready to thrown on the rain cover when needed.

I bought this eyepiece to go with a raincover for my camera. It fits very snug and feels comfortable when my eye is up to the camera. I have only shot in light rain and it worked great, but I have not had the chance to try it in a downpour.

If you are going to moving around very much at all or in heavy down pours, I would recommend buying this eye piece. I think it is ridiculous that you have to buy it separate but well worth it.

I do a lot of shooting outdoors and at the beach so I needed a raincoat for my camera. This eyepiece came highly recommended and I must say, I am very glad I bought it. It is well worth the money and very easy to use. It fits into place easily and holds securly. It is a definite must-have when purchasing a raincoat for your camera.

I read some reviews saying that the Sport Shield could be used without this eyepiece. Not if you want to keep your equipment dry in the rain. The eyepiece does the trick.

This orients the Sport Shield on your camera, and provides a water tight eye piece. I can see why the manufacturer makes it optional (each camera has it's own eye piece design) but I can't believe it's about [$] It's plastic and neoprene.
